St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner on Monday admitted to wrongdoing before a state legal board in a case she prosecuted against former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens and will accept a reprimand, according to news reports.

Gardner appeared before the Missouri Office of Disciplinary Counsel in a St. Louis County courthouse for claims of prosecutorial misconduct. Both sides agreed to a reprimand, but the Missouri Supreme Court will decide disciplinary actions, according to KMOV TV.

Gardner, who has had financial campaign support from liberal megadonor George Soros, was accused in a 73-page report of failing to disclose evidence to Greitens' lawyers, misrepresenting evidence and other ethical violations, the CBS-TV affiliate also reports.

Greitens is now running in the Republican primary of an open U.S. Senate seat representing Missouri in Congress.

If a prosecutor uses state resources to do acts of maleficence, that should be cause for disbarment. A strongly worded letter in a file should not be an acceptable punishment.

” A strongly worded letter in a file should not be an acceptable punishment.”

The bar is self regulating so it’s members protect themselves.

Wouldn’t you just love to see the banking and other financial records of these Soros D.A.’s and other Democrat candidates such as Stacy Abrams of Georgia?

Let us not rip our garments over Greitens. He still had the fling with the hair cutter, wife of the union operative. Sorry this happened to him but he is no victim. He made himself vulnerable. Too bad the PA took the plea. It would have been nice to get rid of her ilk.

I know Wikipedia is not always trustworthy, but if you look up her name and read “Career” and “Controversies” it’s all true:

KMOX was reporting today that she’s not out of the woods - the Missouri Supreme Court still has a say in the matter, and she could still lose her law license.

Executed by drawing and quartering. She and her lies sure did a job on Greitens. Even many FReepers believe all her lies to this day.

Black’s Law: Malfeasance; The commission of some act which is positively unlawful; the doing of an act which is wholly wrongful and unlawful; the doing of an act which person ought not to do at all or the unjust performance of some act which the party had no right or which he had contracted not to do. Comprehensive term including any wrongful conduct that affects, interrupts or interferes with the performance of official duties.

*Your spelling is not in Black’s Law.

Either way, the prosecutor committed criminal acts which should be greater than a reprimand in their file or disbarment.

She needs to go to prison for at least 15 years and stripped of her law license

She may be vulnerable in a Section 1983 civil suit. Greitens should own her birthday.

That would be good. I think prosecutors should be held liable for when it can be shown that they did not prosecute in good faith.

Yeah, he is the victim.

He admitted the extra marital sex, just not every other thing that the AG and the ex-fbi agent had planted evidence about.

Screwing around on your spouse is bad enough, but he was charged with criminal acts that he didn't do, and the AG knew it, and withheld evidence.

That makes him a victim of the AG, now he and his ex-wife have other issues, and it sounds as if some of his problems were self inflicted.

But if every man that screwed around were kept out of office, we would never have had President Trump.

And I didn't rend my garments over either one.
