House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Sunday suggested that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if the U.S. provided weapons to Kyiv sooner.
“This is going to get stronger and rougher and what really needs to happen is, Ukraine is not asking for American men and women to fight, all they’re asking for is the weapons to defend themselves,” McCarthy told Fox News chief Washington correspondent Mike Emanuel on “Fox News Sunday.”

Is McCarthy suggesting that Trump is at fault for not providing more weapons to Ukraine while he was president? Really?
“Heavily arming” Ukraine? With what, ATGMs?
What major, strategic weapon system did anyone supply Ukraine?
Aircraft? Cruise missiles? Ballistic missiles? Tanks?
Name one.

Or, you could have pushed Russia into invading sooner. Or you could have provoked an escalate to deescalate nuclear strike.

I managed to catch the tail end of a round table discussion by conservative “in the know” types yesterday that was probably from earlier last week on the Charlie Kirk show. I don’t remember who it was but one individual was expressing dismay because they were convinced that McCarthy does not have the guts to do the hard things that need to be done if the GOP managed to retake the House in November.
It all just reasserts what I’ve been convinced of since probably 2 years ago............there are no more political solutions.
During our first battery level tac eval, his platoon missed its morning mission time by 30 minutes. Wearing the XO hat, I lit into him as to how unacceptable that is...that's how people get killed. He acted as if they were "fashionably late."
Later that day, he was sent coordinates for the next mission from the Battery Commander. They were so far off, it violated Air Defense Artillery doctrine, by about 5 miles. He never challenged the message, because that was his Battery Commander's voice.
How we ever passed that tac eval is another story. lol
VP Biden was in charge of Ukraine policy when Putin invaded Crimea. He spoke empty words and sent blankets and MRE's. That was pretty much a green light. In the following years, Putin instigated civil war in the east, armed the rebels to the teeth and provided thousands of Russian troops to help them fight. I'm sure Putin expected more of the same from Biden. Our inconsistent foreign policy is dangerous.
Russia would not have invaded of biden wasnt president. And biden would not be president of Russia and china didn’t help. In return Russia gets pipeline and ukraine. China had there tariffs taken off the goods. This whole thing stinks and guess who pays for it all.
McCarthy is trying to compete with Linda as the dumbest member of the GOP-e.
He may have achieved his goal.
The tanks rolled 30 days after Brandons Afghanistan cluster blank. Sending more weapons wouldn’t make any difference.

If the Media went after Biden and his role with Ukraine when Trump was being impeached for saying congratulations, we probably wouldn’t be in this crisis.
