Trump endorses Joe Lombardo in Nevada governor race

Former President Trump endorsed Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo (R) on Wednesday in the competitive GOP primary for Nevada governor, eschewing two other candidates seeking his support.

One of those candidates, former Sen. Dean Heller (R), lost a reelection bid despite being endorsed by Trump in 2018.

I don’t care if President Trump came over my house and drove me to the polls, I’m not voting for him.

Trump says he forgave him after Vance changed his tune, but Trump is a poor judge of character (Romney, McConnell).

Vance called all of us who voted for Trump racists. I won’t forgive or forget that.

Same here, it’s also why the hell are lost. Better to lose an election then to support a bad candidate.And I agree, Trump has turned out to be a very very bad selector of candidates and employees.

Vance never came even close to saying that “all Trump voters are racists. “ He said that racism was hardly the strongest factor, but there were some Trump supporters who did so for racist reasons. That is undoubtedly true. We have plenty of freepers right here who harbor racial animosity who are Trump supporters. Most of us don’t fit that mold but some do.. I don’t care who you vote for but you shouldn’t mislead people who otherwise might want to support Trump’s chosen candidate.

Might be more that there just aren’t that many good candidates worth endorsing - but Trump’s “lesser of multiple evils” endorsement strategy is not likely to work out for the best.

Sheriff Lombardo was doing an amazing job after the massacre. Then the FEDS came in, took the investigation away from him. Agent Rouse was in charge, iirc. After that, no info was given to the public. The Sheriff gave us on the ground updates until then. I could vote for him.
