House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said in the aftermath of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack that removing former President Trump through the 25th Amendment “takes too long,” according to the latest leaked recording of a call with top House GOP colleagues.
McCarthy, who is aiming to be Speaker if Republicans win the House majority in November, also said that what Trump did was “atrocious and totally wrong” but expressed opposition to impeachment on the call.

House members run for congress every 2 years, and I’m pretty sure that there’s an election for congress this year, so, it won’t take too long to remove McCarthy from his position and from his house minority leadership.

i suspect (and did at the time) he was under explicit threat of removal post-event. this would explain why many things of interest were not declassified, and more particularly why so many DNC convicted political persons got pardons.

Parental rights are under assault. A few more months of inflation, persecution, and this craziness, and we will be wishing there really had been an insurrection on Jan 6..
If the Republicans take over the House in November, I think they should make Nancy Pelosi Speaker.

US Senate is a club. Members rarely go against other members. Biden was a senator for very long time.

Spending = Power in Washington. Biden and his democrats appropriate so much money so fast even they haven’t been able to spend it at a rate that depletes the last appropriations. Really. Nobody in Washington has ever been the slightest bit interested in losing power by decreasing spending. Except for Trump and see what that brought him?
Post election agenda is to find a decent Speaker. My favorite has to be Jim Jordan, but there may be others. Meanwhile, how does the Senate caucus replace the despicable McConnell?

While I agree that this California ass-clown is a RINO snake. A problem. President Trump has recently met with his and has come away with (if reports are correct) an agreement. The agreement is reportedly based on the fact that 100% of President Trump’s endorsed candidates won their elections. A Fact likely pointed out to this ass-clown.
So, the RINO from California has seen the writing on the wall and for political survival has agreed to go along with President Trump’s agenda.
President Trump, for his part realizes that not enough MAGA members are in the House to make any real changes to the leadership. This is a fact.
So, a truce and compromise are necessary. Reality always takes priority over desire.

The Senate will not be replacing Mitch as long as we keep re-electing his bitches.
The only ones worth re-electing this cycle are Paul, Johnson and Kennedy, but I don’t see anyone trying to primary even the Amnesty Senators which should be the top priority as Cornyn and Tillis are putting their Amnesty Gang back together.
