Former US officials and diplomats in recent days have sharply criticized the Biden administration over a New York Times report based on conversations with senior officials that said US intelligence was helping Ukraine kill Russian generals.
"Shut up about it," John Sipher, a former CIA officer who served in Russia, said in a tweet on the Times report.
Michael McFaul, a former US ambassador to Russia, in a tweet responding to Sipher said, "Exactly. No one should be talking to press about such things."

I bet made the story up and sent it to the NYT himself. We all know he believes his own stories. Biden is extremely dangerous.
Of course they are aghast. The only leaks allowed are those intended to undermine Republicans.
The Israelis had an agent at Muammar Gaddafi’s nightly dinner table, his son in law. They gave regular briefings on Libia to the CIA who then provided information to then President Carter. At a Washington dinner party someone asked Carter why he had done something. Carter said something like, “Well, we know from Muammar’s son in law that...” The poor guy was arrested and tortured. He didn’t live until dawn.
Hillary Clinton mentioned the actual name of the CIA’s agent inside the Iranian nuclear program in an unencrypted email on her personal server. Yep, arrested, tortured and executed.
I could go on, like when a Democrat on the intelligence committee employed a Chinese agent as a driver. (There aren’t any Americans qualified?)
Democrats are only concerned about themselves.
Whoever is pulling Brandon’s strings wants a war, and they’re not likely to be stopped. We are sleep walking into oblivion.

My guess is that they don’t like the idea of now having to look over their shoulders for the rest of their lives, given the Russian capability to deal with people abroad.
Leaks are endemic to Dim administrations, as well as often stupidly from American intel community.

I am now officially a cynically contemptous conservative wishing another country could do what we won’t do ourselves to the political class (and the business crony capitalists, e.g., socialists). My ill will extends to all major cities run by democrats. They want war. Maybe they will get the kind of war that wipes out a dozen cities in one fell swoop forever changing the internal political balance within the USA.

Yes. It’s hard to say if it was just bumbling ineptitude or outright treason. Take your pick.
They certainly seem to regard privileged information as personal property. The real issue in the Hillary private server wasn't just what was on it, it was who had purchased direct access to it. And note Adam Schiff's clear panic that he might be taken off the House Intelligence Committee. Feinstein's driver. Swalwell's girlfriend. Our enemies know exactly to get whatever information they want.
