He already turned down and M.B.E. and O.B.E, wgst makes you think he’d accept knighthood?

And that’s all the Queen’s fault? She has held the line and stood for a lot of important traditional values, and doesn’t deserve a trashing like this song.

(And think about what our own Nation looked like before, too. Which of our ‘monarchs’ is responsible for that?)

It was always very bad manners, especially for a woman of her age, class, and job description.

FWIW, I think in addition to serious health issues, the queen is cognitively impaired.

For decades I was family caregiver for elderly loved ones, some the queen’s age and older.

I think the House of Windsor and the UK’s Deep State are hiding one helluva lot from the British public.

I haven’t seen any sign of cognitive issues; and as for health, I want to see you at her age.

Two things stand out: What looks to be bruising on the backs of both of Liz’s hands

I'm 72 and take "blood thinners" and get bruises on my hands and arms all the time. Usually, I have earthly idea how they were bruised.

We’ve had multiple centenarians in the family.

I stand by what I posted.

When did you last have a personal conversation with the Queen?

“She has held the line and stood for a lot of important traditional values”

Lets talk about World War I.

The British Royal Family was related to the monarchs of Germany and Russia.

More details:

https://www.brookings.edu/blog/brookings-now/2013/12/20/the-family-relationships-that-couldnt-stop-world-war-i/

It was a family dispute between royal families.

The “tradition” of Britain was destroyed in that insane war—and the Royal Family did nothing to stop it.

I leave World War II treason by the royal family as an exercise for you.

The royal family hit the self-destruct button on the British Empire.

The backs of both hands at the same time was what I found really curious, physically speaking.

But the cognitive issues, if there are any, are of even greater concern since she’s still the monarch.

And especially given the fact that Andrew and Harry are still councilors of state.

He once said he was too scared to kneel before her with a sword in her hand.

He hasn’t done enough for the British economy, culture or charity to get a knighthood.

He should get a knighthood for being the only one with the balls to speak out against Jimmy Savile.

I’m not interested in your simplistic reduction of a very complex history - which even historians are still tearing apart - to ‘a family dispute’.

It apparently has become a part of western culture to reward disastrous failure and declare it “patriotic”.

The British Royal Family had the means, the motive and the opportunity to prevent World War I if they had chosen to do so.

They did not make that choice.

That made them traitors to their country.

Once you “get” that then the song we are discussing starts to make sense.

More cognitively impaired than most British people?

They changed their name so people would apparently forget they were German.

Yes, I understand British history from that era, but to call that song alot of wisdom is embarrassingly laughable.

He was singing about the queen as an institution not an individual. It was recognized at the time as an anti-monarchy sone not an anti Elizabeth song.
