How ironic that the FIRST order of business in the senate was to push that $40 billion thru the senate sphincter as soon as sen black bird & his delegation get back from their junket to kiev

all for helping, but why not charge Ukraine for the weapons and make money off them, rather than give them US tax payer dollars.
Senate supporting a totalitarian jackwagon. Should please the emotional FReepers.

Senator Paul's amendment would have required special Inspector General oversight of the massive spending.
I'm in favor of providing weapons to Ukraine to allow them to defeat the Russian invasion, but with the Dem/Neocon chokehold on foreign policy/defense it appears it is not possible to provide aid to Ukraine in a way to deny the usual suspects (no doubt including the Big Guy) their cut.

The injured men are currently in Russian hands, hopefully receiving treatment. There is supposed to be a prisoner exchange, hopefully happening faster than former Russian involved prisoner exchanges like after WW2.
