It should probably be outright returned to the states.
There isn’t any Constitutional sanction for an FBI any more than there is emanations and penumbras for abortion.
The feds NEVER give up any power.
The FBI and CIA are both beyond redemption and a threat to the citizens.
Breaking up the FBI does not change the situation. In fact, it makes it worse as there will now be more of the same organizations, and it will be harder to manage.
What needs to happen is REAL oversite by firing individuals who either are not doing their jobs or who are protecting establishment / connected individuals.

The FBI has become exactly what you would expect a large centralized intelligence gathering machine to become.
And that won't happen if RINO-controlled state legislatures allow the Democrats to cheat again.
Mastriano in PA is going to have a hard time winning as governor. He would easily win in a fair election, but the RINOs in the legislature hate him. They would rather see a Democrat win than have MAGA as governor. So look for the same kind of late night trucks with ballots putting the Dem over the line and the legislature doing absolutely nothing about it..
This is a war. The only way we get our country back is to first take back our party from the RINOs. Only after that can the FBI and other three letter institutions be brought to justice.

A more realistic hit would be eliminating the 10% or so of government that no one would notice is missing. It would have to include entire departments.
Fire anyone with “director” or “manager” in their title. Move HQ to Kansas City. Vet those that remain for socialist and deep state sympathies.
Breaking it up is a good idea as long as the total size is reduced by a significant percentage.
The FBI has, or can manufacture, dirt on everybody in DC. So who bells the cat?
When I see the letters FBI, I immediately think...corruption.
That’s awful, but true. For years now, they’ve been involved in activities unbecoming if not outright illegal in many areas.
