The trial of Michael Sussmann began another week on Monday, with more witnesses being called as Special Counsel John Durham continues to build his case against the former Hillary Clinton lawyer.
Sussmann is charged with lying to the FBI, something he allegedly did when he hid who he was working for while sharing the now-debunked Alfa-Bank story. That disinformation campaign, which was meant to falsely assert Donald Trump was colluding with the Russians during the 2016 election, has now been directly tied to Hillary Clinton during the trial after it was revealed that she approved its dissemination.
But apparently, Sussmann and Hillary Clinton by proxy weren’t the only ones lying. According to documents presented by Durham, the FBI lied about the Alfa Bank smear’s provenance, telling agents it had come from the DOJ. In reality, Sussmann had brought it directly to the FBI, with the leadership being aware of its origins as badly done political opposition research.

I think the FBI lies as a matter of policy. It’s just Standard Operating Procedure. I don’t see how the justice system would see it as a crime — the system protects itself.
And the neoCONs and leftist media will still say it’s “disinformation” to claim Hillary was behind this. Hunter Biden scandals will still be proclaimed as “russian disinformation”. In fact, let’s start WW3 by blaming Russia for the Dems dirty tricks.

Yes. This is all stupid political theater, Sussman is going to be the sacrificial lamb, and once convicted (if that even happens) everyone will wash their hands, the matter will be closed, and everything will move on and be forgotten.

The only benefit of this trial is that the facts are being put on the record. It’s disgraceful that no one will actually pay for this, but this trial puts an end to the leftists claims that the idea of Trump’s collusion with Russia was real. And most of the bad actors in this have been exposed. Sadly this is the only satisfaction we’re going to get.
So,hillary ..getting a lawyer to lie for her..to the FBI...means hillary’s lies don’t really count???
