Matthew McConaughey has offered an impassioned but vague plea following Tuesday’s school shooting in his hometown of Uvalde, Texas, cryptically saying it is time for Americans everywhere to make “sacrifices” and re-evaluate our “wants from our needs.”
In his Twitter message, McConaughey doesn’t mention guns or the Second Amendment. Instead, he admonished Americans for “failing to be responsible for the rights our freedoms grant us.”

Dumb butt
Well, rktman calls for matty to STFU! Same results.
Communists perpetual argument, disarm the sheep so we the wolves have nothing to fear.
Stick to acting ‘Killer Joe.’
ESAD, McConaughey.
Alec Baldwin has killed more people than me or other members of my family who owned guns.
Why restrict the freedom of the many, when restricting the freedom a few will be far more just.
This jackass jumped the shark into Hollywood Dumbassville.
What new law do they think will stop this?
Given we don’t even have a clear picture of what happened yet, what new law are they believe will have prevented this?
Show me the law you want to put forward and then explain to me EXACTLY how it would have prevented this....

I didn’t shoot anyone. I am not responsible. I will not be punished.
If you want to hold someone responsible, outside of the guy who pulled the trigger, why not those who enable, and actually encourage, mental illness in young people and have devalued human life under the guise of reproductive rights.
A conservative out of Hollywood? Not this time apparently.
He needs to pledge to stop using guns. Make a sacrifice Matty.
whatever, I don’t need an actor spouting his solutions to societal ills. Maybe he can do something about political correctness, as that causes more problems than it helps.
We need to have policies and methods in place to thwart evil when it emerges. Locked, secured doors and the presence of armed security could have prevented this.
A gun control law is not going to deter someone determined to commit mass murder from having the desire to do so. “Oh...there’s a law against that?” is not something such a person considers.
We can control psychotropic drugs and we can control mentally ill people by institutionalizing them.
And what law is he recommending that’s going to stop crazy people from killing people? How about bringing back fn asylums instead of giving them pills and shoving them onto society?
