I know that I grossly underestimated the size of the swamp and Trump probably did too imo.
And although I wanted Trump to get back in office ASAP, Trump smartly temporarily became a private citizen again. I think that he recognized that he could do more to clean up the swamp as a private citizen than trying to do so encumbered by the constitutional division of powers of the three branches of government.
