Trump isn’t toxis. He’s the best Prez since Reagan, and in some ways better. We wouldn’t be in this fuster-cluck if The Donald were still in the corner office.
It’s going to be one or the other. Ron has said he wants to “serve the people of Florida” for two terms. His on words, not mine, not someone on FR, not some Politico hack, not some GOP official.
Trump needs a primary challenge from a MAGA conservative like Desantis to keep him MAGA, hold his feet to the fire. If he had a primary challenge from the right in 2020, he might not have stuck with Fauci or spent his campaign bragging about all the felons he let out. He might have finished the wall. Primaries are good. Coronations aren’t.
He can serve a Floridians from the White House while also serving the rest of us.
I may have pissed a lot of Freepers off a while back opting for a DeSantis for President run. My strategy was that the Country can’t wait for 2024 and my pitch was for Trump to become Speaker of the House after Republicans win the House back this fall. Trump is a wheeler-dealer extraordinaire and the Country needs someone like him to manage the House NOW!! What a time he would have to kick Pelosi out, impeach Biden, restore the wall, and on and on. If Speaker doesn’t work out, he could always run for President with DeSantis as his running mate in 2024.

I’m a Trump guy, but let me give DeSantis a compliment on his response to “peacock” Newsom screwing around in Florida.
DeSantis laughs at the question, then starts talking about all the California license plates in Florida and how there aren’t a lot of Florida license plates in California.
He also says you have to be pretty bad to screw up the natural advantages California has over other states.
For me Trump is “The Champ” and DeSantis is the “up & comer.” I hope these two leaders eventually “make a deal.”

Trump needs a solid VP like DeSantis and a clear path forward that doesn’t include the likes of jared kushner or mitch mcconnell giving him guidance.

Ron DeSantis will beat Charlie Crist soundly in this year’s Florida gubernatorial election and then it’s game on.
Do not EVER FORGET what a great Governor GWB was, and be careful what you wish for DC is an entirely different animal than a state!! DeSantis is a great Governor HOWEVER DC will swallow him up and spit him out!! I think VP with Trump to get his toes in the water would be better!!
Exactly! Floridians want Ron DeSantis to stay the Governor of Florida for the next 4 years. After that is a different ball game.
