The White House said earlier Wednesday that it had not approved Navarro’s article. Navarro’s op-ed, which was published in USA Today, “didn’t go through normal White House clearance processes,” White House spokeswoman Alyssa Farah said on Twitter.
The piece is “the opinion of Peter alone,” Farah said in the tweet, adding that Trump “values the expertise of the medical professionals advising his Administration.”

In most cases, an American president cannot simply give orders to these men, have them ousted, or have them killed. Other methods are needed: They must be overawed, intimidated, bribed, cajoled, flattered, deceived, charmed, inspired, bluffed, bullied, baffled, shamed, or engaged in horse-trading. The tools deployed may be material, but the effect in each case must be psychological: getting them to the point where they are willing do what we want, or willing to refrain from doing what we don’t want. It’s a tricky business that requires deep reserves of strategy, finesse, and firmness — and sometimes more.
The author, ostensibly smart as he no doubt thinks of himself, just described the exact group of qualities which President Trump demonstrated in his dealings with all of our foreign adversaries. Indeed, President Trump had them all eating from his hands and licking his feet by the end of his first administration. Right now there would be thousands of live Russian soldiers, live Ukrainians and no destruction of Ukraine if Biden and the DemonRats hadn't stolen the election from President Trump and the American people.
If I remember right, marijuana was on our ballot here in Florida. That brought out a lot of rats to vote and they voted for Gillum.
desantis is currently running for reelection for florida governor this year (2022)...
he’ll be sworn in january 2023...
he’s not starting a presidential campaign in 2023...
I agree, if he runs, it's for 2028 and starting the campaign around 2026.
desantis was born and raised in florida...
he has 3 young children and his wife recently battled breast cancer...
he’s not leaving florida anytime soon...
NR. LOL.
“ No Trump supporters are worried about Trump’s Covid response from two years ago.”
I am and I voted for Trump 4 times - twice in presidential primaries (2016 and 2020) and twice in the general elections (2016 and 2020).
If Trump can’t be criticized for empowering Fauci, then you’re worshiping a man, not supporting a set of policies and principles.
This used to be primarily a place of ideas, and no man was greater than those ideas. Now...we're entering third world "man on horseback" territory with some folk.
Stolen elections kill kids.
Fauci was a creation of the fear-mongering Left - if you can’t see that, then I don’t know what to you.
“This is cult talk, smh, boy has this place changed.”
No, it’s not.
It’s strategic.
It’s thought out.
It’s based on decades of empirical experience.
It’s a change that has to happen.
It’s a courtesy to you Rinos and fake conservatives to tell you what’s going to happen.
“..even AOC in the general election, you wouldn’t vote for DeSantis in the general election? You’d rather see one of those leftists in the White House?”
Nope.
I’m not the only one.
So you think about that and understand it.
It’s your choice.
You want more Biden? Harris?
Go ahead and choose them.
I wouldn’t.
your tagline has “worshipping a man” written all over it...
your actions prove it...
Would you vote against DeSantis v. Newsome or AOC if Trump didn’t run?
“Would you vote against DeSantis v. Newsome or AOC if Trump didn’t run?”
You’re avoiding the issue.
The question is are you going to put them in off icing by supporting this corrupt regime and not addressing the fraudulent election, showing commitment to our country and laws and righting a wrong.
Tell us.
More GOPe/RNC porn.
So you’re fine with Trump featuring Fauci and scarf at press conferences day in and day out
A lot of people whose businesses were destroyed by those two aren’t as casual about the issue as you seem to be. If a GOP candidate runs against Trump and broadcasts ads spotlighting some victims of the Fauci/Scarf lockdowns, with the victims looking in camera and asking why Trump empowered those two tyrants, Trumps numbers could fall like a rock. The only question is whether such a candidate will enter the race.
As for me, if DeSantis entered the primary against Trump, I'd lean towards DeSantis. Regardless, I would vote for either one in the general election against the Democratic nominee because I think both would be clearly preferable to whomever the Democrats nominate.
Threats by Trump supporters that they won't vote for anyone except Trump in the general election do not impact my primary preferences.
