Spoke recently with a friend who served a lengthy tour in Ukraine with Army intel. He basically said what you are saying. Abundant pro-Russian sentiment in Crimea and Donbas, so a long hard slog between neighbors. Outcome TBD but little the West can do except keep the Ukrainians bleeding. Another Biden foreign policy atrocity.
That's like asking Israel if it needs to take anymore land from the Palestinians.
Russia's primary goal in this war to save the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine from genocide and/or being driven out of their homeland. The other goal is to protect it national security by de-militarizing Ukraine.
So, it will take as much land as it has achieve those goals. The Ukrainians could save more of their country by surrendering.
All of our meddling and talk of insurgency will eventually result in Russia taking every inch of Ukraine. We and NATO have done a enough damage and need to leave before Russia is forced to do that.
Wishful thinking.
You apparently missed the fact the Russia came to us with their national security concerns in effort to prevent this war. All Russia wanted was guarantee that Ukraine would not join NATO and the Minsk Agreement, which Ukraine signed, implemented so the eight-year war by neo-Nazis and Ukrainian nationalist against the ethnic Russian population would end.
The Biden regime and "the liberal world order" wanted this war. They thought they having it would give them an opportunity for a regime change in Russia, which would allow the west's corrupt political class and their business allies to raid Russia of money and resources like its raided Ukraine of that.
Your neocon narrative doesn't fly to anyone that knows even a little about what has been going on in Ukraine for the last eight years.
And a 1...and a 2... and a 3!
(Insert polka music here-—)
“The bulk of aid sent to Ukraine is in the form of military equipment.”
You totally don’t know what you are talking about.
And they’ll have about as much luck as they’ve had so far...
Russian soldiers who don’t want to be there, don’t want to fight, and don’t want to get blown up will grow tired and go home, sooner or later.
Only a stampy feet child like mind could think this is a viable option in a war zone.
How sweet, a commie imperialist.
1959 was the first one. 2017 was the most recent one.
Financial Times has a graph that clearly shows US military aid is larger than financial and humanitarian combined. The article title is: Military Briefing: Which Weapons Has Ukraine Received and How How Many More Does It Need?
OK. A FT 24 Jan-10 May single sourced graph from Kiel Institute. You may as well say Klaus says ...
Your ‘argument’ conveniently overlooks the May 18,19 Congressional allocation of $50+ billion to Ukraine:
NYT May 20,2022 : “Four Ways to Understand the $54 Billion in US Spending on Ukraine” makes you wrong.
