Except that Trump has a lock on the Perot vote. It is more like they was the Bush the Elder vote. This is just Evan McMuffin on steroids, and will be as effective as John B Anderson’s campaign at most, drawing from both parties.

Precisely.
It’s impossible to believe that experienced politicians launching a third party had no idea that “Forward!” was a Soviet propaganda catchword. Only a few years ago Hillary Clinton and the DNC trotted out “Forward” as a “Progressive” (i.e., neo-Communist) trope — and were called out for plagiarizing Soviet agitprop.

I think this will split the Dems more than the Republicans. There are still some Democrats who don’t like the insanity of the far left. Republican voters are mostly hard-core conservatives. I was about to post something similar. If we had a weak candidate it would be a problem, but with Trump I don't think it could hurts us.
