Surprising how the investigation of the leak seems to have gone cold. The author's opinion is that one of the liberal justices was the leaker and Roberts doesn't want this disclosed.

We all know Roberts is compromised.

As an aside, where in the Constitution does it say that sodomy is a constitutional right?

Supposedly,Robert’s “vehemently opposed overturning it” and “tried to convince the others to drop the case”. Robert’s is no friend of conservstives!

100%

If the leaker was a Republican this would already be exposed.

Thomas is right that the entire concept of substantive due process must be jettisoned. It turns the court into a policy arm of government.

Yes, the Federal Government just can't figure out who did it--BUT LOOK HOW FAST THEY IDENTIFIED THE JANUARY 6 PATRIOTS!

The Evil Swamp can be exquisitely efficient when its denizens want to be.

“Who or what is Chief Justice John Roberts protecting?”

His closet.

My take has always been that Roberts is not being blackmailed. No need. He is one of those moderately progressive guys who thinks he is doing the nation a service by preventing any serious social conflict over issues. Hence the “softer” language.

That's my opinion, too.

I don't think Roberts was the leaker because it undermines the court's credibility. And that's why Robert's doesn't want to reveal who did this, because it would be one more smear on the court.

He thinks he's protecting the integrity of the court, but that ship has sailed a long time ago. And when the left keeps nominating people like Sotomayor and Jackson, the court is teetering on becoming a joke. Thomas and Alito are the only anchors left, and when they go, the country is in big trouble.

I’d 100% like to have another Alito or Thomas in place of Roberts, (I will give Roberts props for his 2A decisions).

But this ‘Roberts is compromised’ stuff comes up every single time his name is mentioned.

Anyone got any proof? Got one shred of actual evidence?

If not, it’s just garbage rumors and gossip. Of course freedom of speech allows garbage and gossip, not saying FR should censor anyone. Just asking if anyone is going to follow up with with a smidgen of proof.

But if Roberts was against overturning Roe then why did he side with the majority?

Okay, I'll be the odd man out here..

My GUT tells me the leak of the SCROTUS Roe v Wade decision did NOT occur within the walls of SCROTUS!

A PDF of the decision was ELECTRONICALLY HACKED by one of our many Marxist agencies such as the FIB, NSA, CIA, DOJ, DHS, etc.., then forwarded to a media hack.

Anyone looking at SCROTUS personnel for where the leak occurred is LOOKING IN THE WRONG PLACE!

It could also have been outgoing Justice Breyer, or the new incoming Justice Jackson, if she were privy to the proceedings.

One person that no one has considered as the culprit, and the most able to cover his tracks in the USSC computer network administrator.

This is someone with complete and unfettered access to everyone’s account and if he knows his stuff can come and go leaving no tracks.

And anything he does can be justified as normal system maintenance.

I have said from the start that the story would turn out to be nothing at all. This isn't because of any underhanded whitewashing on the part of the Supreme Court, either. It's just that it's almost certain that no crime was committed when the draft was leaked. There's nothing to investigate when the only "wrongdoing" was a violation of Supreme Court protocols.

In other words ... WGAF. Let the Supreme Court justices deal with it themselves, if they even GAF.

I think it was Sotomayor. They probably knew within a day. To protect the court Roberts is keeping it buried in a rat hole. He doesn’t believe anything good would come from making it public. It would require her to resign and a new Justice be approved.

I don’t know if this is the case but it would be great if this was released after the republicans took back the senate so they would have more control over who gets chosen. Unfortunately the corrupt Marxists would still get to choose the nominee. At least it could be someone less activist and more constitutional.

OK, I’m going to flip the script on you.

Roberts is a weasel, guaranteed. And maybe they “have something on him”, but the alternative - weasels gotta weasel - is also plausible.

Roberts’s final concurrence states what he wanted done - uphold the Mississippi law and not overturn Roe. He needed one flip of the five who signed the Alito draft in February. He even had a target - Kegs Kavanaugh.

That makes Roberts himself suspect #1 in the leak.

MY question is: “Do we want him exposed?”

If he is exposed, he has to resign, or be impeached and removed.

And if THAT happens - before January 3, 2023 - welcome Chief Justice Merrick Garland.

Be careful what you wish for.

Roberts has long said that he does not want the Court’s “image” to be sullied by appearing to act politically. What this means in practice is that Roberts anticipates the likely press reaction to a decision and votes accordingly. Since the press is 95% leftist, and Roberts doesn’t want to rile up the press, Roberts always takes the leftist side on high-profile cases like Dodd. In trying to avoid the impression of voting politically, he votes politically. Funny how that works.
