Additional executive leadership years in Florida are worth 100X that four years in the do-nothing VP role would do for him.

There is no better grooming position for POTUS than being an energetic governor of a large state. Except maybe being CEO of a corporation like Trump was.

Historically, the position of the VP is a dead end. Theodore Roosevelt became the VP because they wanted him out of the way. No one predicted that McKinley would get assassinated.

And the "elite" class that was running everything back then was shocked that Teddy would use the office of the Presidency against their interests. He came from their ranks, but he was quite principled in his ideas.

I suspect it was his time in the West that taught him a different way to see the world. A more ethical way.

Unfortunately he wasn’t fired ( yet ). Just suspended. Probably still gets his paycheck :(

I have long advocated that we tell the corrupt, stupid, partisan government employees to just stay away and we'll send them paychecks.

It would be worth it just to get rid of the sabotage they do.

We need DeSantis in 2024!

Absolutely. Ron DeSantis continues to demonstrate exactly what strong, focused executive leadership looks like.

The site is now down, undergoing maintenance, LOL!

Either they’re scrubbing it for too much “progressive” content or they’re rewriting it for the new State Attorney.

DeSantis made a point of distinguishing between prosecutorial discretion (which is rightly exercised on a case-by-case basis) and a consistent stance of refusing to uphold the constitution and laws of Florida.

And an extremely important distinction it is - it's the difference between self-government and lawlessness. This is a problem up and down our entire system of government, from prosecutors, to bureaucrats, to entire state governments no longer using best judgment and common sense, but inventing or abrogating laws based on marxist whim.

Think immediate AND longer term. Trump/ DeSantis. Trump would put DeSantis to work while getting DeSantis prepped for 2028.

Like Reagan when he ran in 68, he wasn’t ready. I think he needed to serve those two terms as California Governor to prepare him to be the President he turned out to be.

Probably still gets his paycheck

He does not. He gets not one penny. He gets nothing and takes nothing. He gets escorted out by the sheriff and replaced.

Is this authority unique to the Governor in Florida, or do all governors have the ability to do this? If so, every conservative gov in the country should be cleaning house this way. DeSantis has led the way.

Will be a landslide win for DeSantis. Only angry far far left don’t like him.

He’ll be term-limited once he’s re-elected. He has all of 2023 to build an exploratory committee and groom his successor, which would be Florida’s LT Governor (and someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong in this last point).

DeSantis is on fire right now. You can bet everyone in his circle is pushing him for a White House run.

Why should DeSantis sit out 2024 under the misguided obligation that Trump is owed a coronation while DeSantis continues to demonstrate that he’s the real deal, actually accomplishing the stuff that Trump only talked about doing?

he has 3 young children...

his wife recently battled breast cancer...

he isn’t moving his family to the miserable climate of washington dc anytime soon...

Warren said “Prosecuting people for exercising their First Amendment rights creates problems rather than solving them. It can weaken the bonds between law enforcement and the community, while undermining faith in our system.”

Tell that to the Jan 6 prosecutors.

Theodore was Trump of his time.

I have said that very thing on several occasions.

You do not let corrupt election thieves get away with it. Shoving Trump down their throat is exactly what the Nation needs to restore faith in the system.

Additionally, Trump should be very vengeful and very interested in investigating vote fraud in Democrat strongholds.

I have a feeling that soon, there is going to be a split of the country. I don’t know what would entail exactly, or what the USA would end up looking like, but I am starting to realize that some states are not going to able to be in a union with other states. The states are becoming too dead set against each other to coexist. People, through politics are being pitted against each other and nothing good will ever come of this. All thanks to the idiotic communist liberals.
