An accidental shooting just makes it manslaughter or third degree.

That's my take as well. It doesn't mean Alec is not guilty of any crime.

Well, other than that woman getting shot, I wonder what the medical examiner thought about how the scene went.

How does the live ammo play into your assessment?

That’s my take too. Nobody ever asserted that Alec intended to shoot her. The issue has always been whether his “accident” was criminally reckless.

So it’s an accident. It’s still criminal.

Calling it an accident just means he didn’t shoot her on purpose. People are in prison for involuntary manslaughter because of an accident they were responsible for that killed someone.

[[Baldwin was pointing a gun at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins when it went off]]

Incorrect- Baldwin was pointing a gun at cinematographer Halyna Hutchins when he pulled he trigger and killed her accidently

The gun didn’t just go off on its own. Guns are not killers. Someone had to pull the trigger.

It’s more than simple accident when he ignored every gun safety protocol around, and there were many. Also as director, he ignored set safety too. This goes to gross negligence which resulted in a person’s death.

He is a medical examiner, could do sone explain to me how a medical examiner can make this ruling when he is not the investigator.
Month if a medical examiner dies can determine if this was an accident

DING! DING! DING! I believe we have the winner!

That is EXACTLY what I told my wife when it first happened!

Baldwin says he didn’t “pull the trigger” because he grabbed the pistol, gripping the trigger either on purpose or on accident. He then cocked the hammer, and released it, expecting the hammer to stay in place; instead, because he was already depressing the trigger, the hammer fell on the striker, causing the pistol to fire, striking and killing Ms. Hutchins.

So, he can say he didn’t “pull” the trigger, but the fact remains his mishandling of a weapon caused the death of another person!

Any other person, other than a Hollyweird movie star, would already be in jail awaiting trial, or already in prison!

How can a medical examiner determine this? The medical examiner can only look at the body and determine if the bullet killed her. There is no evidence in her body that can determine if Alex intentionally fired the gun.

He's had a lifelong pattern of verbal abuse (including in "roles"0 and threatening behavior. He should be prosecuted.
