A generic Republican candidate maintains a five-point lead over a generic Democrat, the same lead as the previous week, a Rasmussen Reports poll released Friday stated.

As Republicans look to retake control of Congress in the 2022 midterm elections — only 74 days away — the most recent Rasmussen Reports survey showed that 47 percent of likely U.S. voters would elect a Republican, compared to the 42 percent who said they would vote for the Democrat, giving the GOP the same five-point lead as the previous week.

The student loan gravy is a “hail mary” attempt for November.
The consultants tell Dems it’s the way to go.
We’ll find out in a couple months.

Should have waited until October. Then they get a bump.

In 2010, Rasmussen had the GOP +6 in the generic poll, covering the period 8/23/2010-8/29/2010.

The GOP pickup in the House that November was 63 seats.

With Joe’s popularity at an all-time high?

Inconceivable!

Yep, the media is reporting how Joe is so popular, and he’s on a winning streak because of that so called inflation reduction act.

A 5 point lead is not enough to overcome the cheating.

Since Democrats are heavily concentrated in big cities, a 5 point lead would be a large advantage for us.

Voters wind up voting for actual people, not generic “Republicans”.

5 is way down from the double digit they had.

GOP has done a lot of self inflicted wounding lately... Hopefully they can correct their course.

This should be an absolute wipe out election this fall.. but the way they are behaving and acting lately, sure seems like they are bound and determined to make sure it isn’t.

If the Stock Market keeps dropping like a rock + inflation, it will be a 10 point lead.

Historically, a Democrat lead of 4-5% in the generic polling means the GOP will tie in the election.

The fact is gas prices have dropped a bit and the stock market stopped its freefall and has even recovered a bit.

These are why Bidens numbers a slightly better.
