Having taken the minutes for dozens of corporate and club meetings I can tell you that either this was seriously cleaned up or it’s not a transcript. In meetings where all the parties know each other and the subject you seldom get complete sentences. They tend to talk in shorthand.
Trust me. This isn’t a transcript. It’s propaganda. It reads like the dialog in a novel by a novice.
I agree.
But it seems to send mixed messages. What message is the propagandist attempting to convey?
Are they trying to say the people in those regions support mother Russia?
Or, are they trying to set up a fall guy to take the rap when Russian forces retreat?
Maybe they are trying to send both messages at once, to keep their options open.
This started out, most likely, as Russian propaganda, to, probably, reassure the Russian people that their government is on the side of the angels. I.E., of course it wasn’t a real meeting.
Its also lousy propaganda. Because Putins government sucks at that. The old Soviets would have shown little kids from the Donbas or wherever gleefully enjoying life in the sunshine, maybe threshing wheat or something, watched over by genial and obviously beloved Russian soldiers.
The spin on the video (it was a video on Russian news) is the appearance of Putin, and that is a fair cop. There is something wrong with him.
