Some 45 years ago when my Dad died of sugar diabetes I swore off using sugar. So to make things sweet these 45 years I use an artificial aspartame from Wallyworld. Very frequently now some dipshit idiot or group will come out with some statement that so and so food item could possibly maybe have at least a little something to do with approximately X% of a selected random grouping of individuals.

Makes sense since most fat people eat their fast food with a 3 gallon mug of diet soda while saying they drink diet soda..... Not to mention the first 3 letters of diet are die.

Partially hydrogenated oils banned in US since 2015.

If these are so dangerous we should see heart attacks decline by now? I am not sure any changes in heart disease.

Several years ago, I stopped at a fast food restaurant (which I rarely do) the one with a creepy clown, I ordered my meal with sweet tea. They ran out so they thought they would make their own using artificial sweetener. I wasn’t too fond of it but had a 200 mile drive ahead of me so I just dealt with it. within an hour I noticed I was having chest discomfort, couldn’t catch my breath and felt like I took a fast pit ball to the chest. My shirt started to feel tight and I knew I was having an issue. I went to the ER and upon entry I started to pass out. They took me in and I was able to tell them I was having chest pain before completely losing consciousness. I had thoracic inflamation with inflamation of lungs and heart my throat, face and tongue were also swollen. Another 10 minutes and I would have died.
After they got things under control they tried to figure it out. I told them I still had some tea in my car and thought since it tasted a little off maybe it was it. They did an allergy test and the aspartame sent my lymphnodes and skin into a frenzy. Final result was artificial, chemical sweeteners were the cause, especially aspartame. I have resorted to primarily homemade food and ALWAYS check ingredients and don’t risk it. I also keep Benedryl on hand just in case I miss something.
