A new study suggested that artificial sweeteners may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and “should not be considered a healthy and safe replacement to sugar.”
Information on more than 100,000 persons in France was analyzed for the study, which was published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ).
Advertisement - story continues below “103,388 participants of the web-based NutriNet-Santé cohort. Dietary intakes and consumption of artificial sweeteners were assessed by repeated 24 h dietary records, including brand names of industrial products,” the study stated.
The study concluded, “the findings from this large scale prospective cohort study suggest a potential direct association between higher artificial sweetener consumption (especially aspartame, acesulfame potassium, and sucralose) and increased cardiovascular disease risk. Artificial sweeteners are present in thousands of food and beverage brands worldwide, however they remain a controversial topic and are currently being re-evaluated by the European Food Safety Authority, the World Health Organization, and other health agencies.”

Strange how these sweeteners have been around for decades but magically now cause heart attacks starting in 2021-2022. The same with climate change suddenly causing heart attacks. Far fetching and totally devoid of common sense or logical reasoning but these excuses are accepted by the science cult. Never mind that never used on humans up to this point and not tested mRNA vaccine put on the market in that same time frame, couldn’t be it, the CDC/FDA would never lie to their death cultist...
Well, maybe I’m doing something right, then. I do admit to cooking a little with Splenda.
That's what I drink. I was buying Mexican Coca-Cola by the case at Costco, then they stopped offering it a couple years ago. Except for Business Costco, but their case is mixed with Fanta Orange and Sprite. Now I buy Mexican Coke at Home Depot, which they usually stock up front near the cashiers.
I used to live in El Paso, I would walk over and have luch at the Old Marketplace. There were 16oz Cokes in glass bottles in large galvanized tubs of ice. The Cokes were sweetened with real sugar! mainly beet sugar I think, the taste difference between corn syrup sweetener and real sugar is amazing.
The ice from an old ammonia ice-house lent a unique fragrance that cannot be forgotten.
Dos hamburguesas y dos Cokas por favor.
They didn’t become dangerous until the vaccine - the vaccine travels through time and has caused every health problem and bad world events throughout our entire history.
Like most nutrition studies, this one was worthless. The folks using the artificial sweeteners were fatter, more likely to smoke, less likely to exercise, more likely to eat sugar, etc.
The study used statistics to TRY to flatten out all these MUCH MORE SERIOUS issues - but the more factors you eliminate via statistics, the more bias enters your study.
The difference in heart attacks, etc was 346 per 100,000 person years in higher consumers and 314 per 100,000 person years in non-consumers. A difference of just 32 negative events in 100,000 person years! So a thousand people living 100 years would see a difference of just 32 events...
That would be trivial if it had been actually MEASURED instead of being what someone came up with after applying dozens of statistical filters. As it is...the difference is so tiny, and the filtered data so likely to induce at least some error, that the results should not have been published.
Like too much of “science”, the outcome was created by the study design.

Don’t worry about Stevia or other artificial sweeteners. Keto & fasting will do FAR more for you than ANY amount of artificial sweeteners can harm you.
Stevia here also, have 4 dogs so no xylitol as that will put a dog down very fast.
So many things have it, read labels closely. powdered drinks, candy, gum, peanut butter, toothpaste, mouthwash, chocolate, meal shake drinks, gelatin and pudding sugar free, yogurts, condiments.
You can buy sugar sweetened Coke (from Mexico) at many Costco stores.
That's what I believe. My next-door neighbor suffered a stroke and seizures two weeks ago, paramedics took him to the hospital for a week and doctors were unable to find the cause. He was an energetic 73-year-old, until recently when he got the vaccine shots. He came back from the hospital and suffered more seizures, and paramedics again took him to the hospital for more tests. I'm hoping he can recover, but things are looking bad for him. He would mow my lawn, and I would edge his lawn and weed-whack for him. Looks like I'll be doing his mowing now, unless he recovers.
They stopped offering it at Costco here in No. California, except for some Business Costco stores. I now buy it at Home Depot, strange place for it to be stocked.
Good info - a lot of them simply have numerous other variables that could have caused the same result of the study.
Looks like this is just another one.
Of course that doesn’t get the vaccine off the hook - these people did not smoke or became fat until they took the vaccine - it can also have a retroactive effect as we have had told to us many times over in the last year - so even if the smoking and the obesity preceded any of them taking the vaccine’s very existence, the vaccine is still responsible for those conditions.
i use stevia
i do not believe it is considered artificial
its plant based
Awesome.
We have a home improvement chain called Menards here that occasionally stocks similarly offbeat food/beverage items.
I would trust African tribal witch doctors over anyone making a diet claim along these lines at this point.
I tend to trust people who can explain why things happen over those who appeal to magic wu-wu or some variant of woke ideology.
A tremendous amount of our bad diet advice comes from vegan animal rights types. I actually saw one argue we shouldn’t eat meat because if you put a toddler in front of a rabbit, the toddler won’t try to eat the rabbit. (Of course, toddlers will try to ingest nearly anything that will fit in their mouths, so I look forward to hearing how his diet of small bits of plastic works out for him.
Anything but the vax.
Everything in moderation. I would change that to everything and anything in moderation. Humans go to the excess far too often and with very little coaxing.
Stevia is a natural product and is not in the same category as say aspartame. Same with monk fruit.
Your post implies it is the vaxxxxxxines which are causing many of the unusual heart attacks and strokes which are even killing teenagers.
By saying this, you are possibly influencing others which will lead to vaxxxxxxine hesitancy which according to CDC and other respected Federal employees like Dr Fauci will cost many lives.
How can you sleep at night knowing that you contributed to others NOT complying with US government directives? Our Resident might have to resort to lockdowns like Trudeau in Canada if too many are vaxxxxxxine hesitant and nobody wants that to be done
But Biden knows best and he will do what needs to be done
So get your booster ASAP, ensure all in your family do the same for the overall good. Sure, we all know some vaxxxxxed will die of heart attacks, some will be disabled permanently and ALL will have growths in their veins which will eventually stop blood flow to vital organs, but the ones who survive will lead better lives without lockdowns. /sarc
Some 45 years ago when my Dad died of sugar diabetes I swore off using sugar. So to make things sweet these 45 years I use an artificial aspartame from Wallyworld. Very frequently now some dipshit idiot or group will come out with some statement that so and so food item could possibly maybe have at least a little something to do with approximately X% of a selected random grouping of individuals.
