Biden’s not running, and I doubt that the settlement of a rail strike would help a guy like Ralph Warnock. Also, the disruptions don’t stop overnight just because they chisel out an agreement... The damage caused by supply chain disruptions will last for months. Meanwhile communters in the eastern seaboard will be pissed off as hell.
He is equally as big at blowing other peoples money. Like he did last night in New Hampshire. The schmuck and McCarty blew $10 million in one week.

Another product where this is going to hurt is moving coal - even if it’s just to a waterway where it can then go on a barge or ship. That’s a slightly different case of course, but, the fallout of a strike would be nasty.
Good grief who talked them into that? Long term disability insurance is pretty cheap or at least it used to be.
I have no idea why and when the unions traded sick days for long-term disability. It was way b4 my time. To continue, the first 6 months off pays very well. There are 2 plans one draws the money off of. The second 6 months, one of them goes away. And I think there is a way to still draw something after the first year. I don’t know because I got my disability approved right around the one year mark.
Also, I should have mentioned earlier, I know the clerks get annual sick days. And the ones I talked to over the years, would not ever trade them for long-term like other unions did.
Another thing, after I left, the company cracked down on any and all time off (including actual sickness). This is one of the sticking points that has pissed off all union workers. That’s why they are at this impasse.

Cheapest non-meat Taco Bell item near me was my favorite: bean burrito minus onions. Was $1.10, $1.25, $1.59 and suddenly $2.79 which used to be the beef price. Plain taco way up, too. I used to eat Mexican Pizza and before that the beef enchirito (with olive slices on top). Too pricy. The old small restaurant price for a lunch plate now gets you one fast food good item only.
