Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) leads Democrat challenger Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (D) on issues Texas voters say are most important to them, a UT/Texas Politics Project survey found.

The survey asked respondents to identify the most important issues when it comes to their vote in the 2022 election.

Immigration and border security topped the list, as 26 percent chose it as the top issue. The state economy came in second with 13 percent choosing that issue, followed by abortion (12 percent), gun violence (11 percent), climate change (seven percent), health care (six percent), voting and elections (six percent), property taxes (five percent), the state’s electric grid (four percent), public education (three percent), and public safety (two percent).

I wonder what he will do next.

What does a failed politician do, after they have run for president in the primaries, and then lose a subsequent election for governor? What political future does someone such as this have?

I assume by ‘gun violence’ they mean banning guns as the solution?

I would not trust Beto if he switched the R in his last name with the D in parentheses following his name. While Beto O’Dourke (R) would be more honest (provided the R stands for Radical), he is a scumbag and nothing can change that.

It would seem that 2023-2025 will be very bad years for leftist politicians and leftist media people. Many will be unemployed. Where will they all go? Harvard can’t take them all. Perhaps there is a town in Sweden or Denmark where they can all go and form a collective.

Yep, he wants to portray this image as being youthful and being like a new young JFK or RFK.

With that, an irony is that JFK or RFK would be way too conservative for today’s Democrat party. They wouldn’t even be Democrats nowadays.

Remember when, according to DemonRatz, “Cultural Appropriation” was a bad thing?
I’m offended that he’s pretending to be a Texan.

Robert O’Rourke has made a career out of running for various offices and losing. If he seriously interested in holding an office he would have moved to a blue state. His only real interest is keeping a constant flow of political contributions.

O’Rourke is the Mother of All Snowflakes. You have to be a moron to vote for that clown. The idiots in Houston and Austin love him.

Here in Texas we are smart enough to know that guns aren’t violent.

Numerous Beto signs are popping up in Austin. I haven’t seen one pro Abbott sign.

I never equated the number of signs with popularity. What you can discern from signs is who is supporting a candidate. Young people in rural areas putting up Trump signs, now that told me something.
