For about a half second the Republicans running for office in 2022 ran the risk of losing the midterms and thus avoiding what had looked previous to that point an unstoppable “red wave.”
In that same moment establishment types got seen looking like deer in headlights of an on-coming semi-truck. For that moment I felt a twitch that believed it was possible to lose, thus leaving the Marxists of the left unaccounted for.
It appears however that this won’t be the case with less than fifty days to go.
In order to insure what should be a natural midterm to balance power in DC, the top of the ticket must do two things.
Republicans must articulate America First policy with in-your face consistency. This shouldn’t be difficult, America First policies are what propelled President Trump to a big win in 2016, and the people’s representatives down ballot to big wins in 2020. The top of the 2020 ballot was fraught with enough questions about its anomalies a fool might argue that America First didn’t win there. But even if you do believe that Joe Biden, who couldn’t fill a parking lot with fifteen cars, completely smashed Donald Trump who didn’t even hold a rally that didn’t draw fifteen-thousand attendees—Trump still had record numbers of people casting more votes for an incumbent than had ever been cast previously.

Politics is a contact sport. Winning occurs when spectators become players on the field and convince their neighbors to switch their vote to the other side.
Example. Here is GA, Republican economic policies were bringing many immigrants from the rust belt big cities to GA.
These immigrants were ready to switch parties and be convinced that Republican economics were better than Democrat socialism. But who on the Republican side other than Vernon Jones saw this? Both wings of the GA Republican Party ignored the opportunity....and seem to continue to ignore it.

SSA is money that each worker sets aside from their paychecks during their working years. That one isn’t welfare.

“learn to fight” I agree. In “the Patriot” movie, Mel Gibson was watching his side use all the wrong tactics and criticized them.
For the most part, all wings of the GOP fail to use smart tactics. In the 2020 primary the losing Democrats called vote fraud with exactly the same evidence the losing Republicans claimed in the final. If the Republicans were truly interested in honest elections, they should have taken the side of the losing Democrats and investigated. But they ignored. Big mistake.
Republican economics worked and brought rust belt Democrats to GA. Enough were ready to convert to R to keep GA solidly Red. But all wings of GA Republicans (except Vernon Jones) ignored them, or worse, alienated them with name calling (not issues). Stupid tactics.
Aim smart, win smart. Aim stupid, lose stupid.
