To: ought-six

The the people of a specific area can have all their rights taken from them if a majority agree. Doesnt seem fair to me. When Quebec (a province of Canada) wanted to become independent from Canada Quebec voted on it. I got your point though. I happen to disagree. No one would ever get their independence in this case (unless they go to war, and here we are).

If people reject their country and its constitution and seek to break away from it, they are free to leave, but they can’t take the country with them. If they don’t leave, and they maintain their rejection of their country and its constitution, then they could very well lose their rights. As has happened many times and in many places throughout history.
