You beat me to it, although I would have used different words. Maher was slowly but surely moving to the sensible center. Then he went off the rails. Maybe somebody got to him.
Anyway, here’s something Maher needs to consider. With so many federal laws and regulations (100,000+), every former president is certainly guilty of something.
Do we really want to devolve into a banana republic, where the new presidente will always find some reason to shoot the old presidente?
