Everywhere I look here in Los Angeles County, there are ads practically screaming for people to get their “boosters”. Ads on the radio, on TV, on my news feed on my phone, billboards, everywhere you look. Even at the supermarket over the store intercom. Constant, inescapable. I’m sure they will be reporting a “surge” of “cases” this Fall, and the nightly alerts on my phone will begin. The final act will involve the public health “director” locking everything down once again, as in 2020. These people will not relinquish their power voluntarily. It’s crazy la-la-land out here.

Whenever I am confronted when I breeze past the pharmacy section of the grocery store or am in it to buy some over the counter item, such as Claritin, and am asked if I want my booster by the vaxseem hawkers who work there, I respond that, alas, I tested positive for Covid less than 3 months ago. Further alas, it is the darndest thing: I test positive every 80 days or so but my symptoms are hard to distinguish from what I have been buying Claritin for for years, and I’ve never been able to get the vaxseem because I keep popping positive. Oh well. ‘Tis a pity.

I skip many TV ads with Tivo Skip and fastforwarding.

However, I do get them during nearly every talk radio break. The thing that makes me chuckle is at the end, when they state that the ad was paid for by one of two big pharma names.

Of course, we still get a bunch of COVID Shot Public Service Announcements (PSAs) mixed in with the paid ads on talk radio.

It’s all about money. Apparently some people have figured it out. Most Americans are incredibly stupid though.

The flood of ads you’re describing have nothing to do with COVID anymore. Nobody really cares if you are vaxxed or boosted. Right now, there’s only one reason to keep this COVID pandemic fiction alive: The COVID “state of emergency” gives the government the authority to pay tens of billions of dollars to media companies to run those stupid ads on TV, radio, billboards, etc.

Many of these companies would be out of business if the government didn’t subsidize them through all these useless ads.
