winner, winner, chicken dinner!!
I don’t know, I believe the USSR ended years ago. Otherwise Ukraine would still be part of it.
As for believing in free and fair elections run by anybody?Pah, not so much.

Zelensky? You cheer for the stinking little-boy-molester Putin who really is a filthy pedophile. I cheer for Ukrainians who are punching way above their weight class even with too little help from NATO. Ukraine is fighting with the Spirit of ‘76. Russia’s Buryats are fighting in a depressing trap. That is leading to more Ukrainian ground gains.
I figured it would go that way since the large majority are Russian that lives there and speak Russian. Further west....not so much.
I’m a man of peace.
As far as I know none of the breakaway provinces closed down at the same time at midnight to stop counting and votes mysteriously appeared in the morning.
Election integrity was something that used to distinguish America from Russia but no longer.
How can a man of peace be pro invader? You are disgusting.
Soviet?
“I’d never thought I’d see the day when Freepers believe in Soviet elections.”
Hell, nothing could be more corrupt than our own elections...
So you think Catholics in Ireland who speak English want to join Britain, just because they speak English?
And that stupid photoshop meme is your reason for invading Ukraine, killing thousands of civilians, leveling cities and towns, and stealing Ukrainian land and resources?
Revolutions have consequences. Outlawing native languages has consequences.
“It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes.”
Wow. I never saw that coming. :)
Why then did LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye just vote for reunification with Russia?
Ukraine
Kherson (Ukrainian: Херсо́н, pronounced [xerˈsɔn] ( listen)) is a port city in the south of Ukraine that serves as the administrative centre of Kherson Oblast. Located on the Black Sea and on the Dnieper River, Kherson is the home of a major ship-building industry and is regional economic centre.
They did not vote. The referendum was a complete sham. The Ukrainians from towns like Alchevsk are fighting their way back to drive out the UNITED RUSSIA party and the Russian mercs.
