Democrat Beto O’Rourke is trailing incumbent Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) by 6 points among likely Texas voters as November’s midterm elections approach, new polling shows.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found 53 percent of likely voters in the state say they plan to cast their ballot for Abbott, while 46 percent said the same of O’Rourke.

But what about Beto on his skateboard? Doesn’t that impress people with how cool and youthful he is???
If voters are focused on border no way Beta Boy is within 6
I’ve seen 50 ads for Bobby Frank (all on streaming sites so how effective can they be?) versus none for the Gov - so he doesn’t seem to be too worried.
And “Beto” calls himself “Beto” to try to pander to the big Mexican-American and other Hispanic voters of Texas. That should also impress the liberals of Austin.
It is Quinnipiac which means Abbot is up by ten or more.
6 points ahead is is nice, but 16 points ahead would be better insurance against the Dem cheating. And there will be attempts at Dem cheating to some degree. It’s baked in the cake.
53 is 15.2% greater than 46. Abbott is ahead by 15.2%, not 7%. Is this correct?
Math teachers, your comments?
So basically, nearly half of Texans want Robert Francis O’Rourke the fake mexican
The Hill, carrying water again. Leads by 6 points? More like sixteen if they were being honest.
Do I believe them?
WTF??
It’s a Quinnipiac poll. In 2018, they had DeSantis and Scott both losing by 7 on the eve of the election. Both of them won.
No Q poll should ever be taken seriously after that miss.
If even they can’t show Beto ahead (not a single poll has) it’s long over.
The point difference and percentage are 2 different things, they both can be right. He is up 7 points which according to you is a 15% difference. A candidate that wins 66 to 33% would win by a 100% according to your approach, which would confusing, misleading and effectively a useless statistic.
Well if democrat loving Quinnipiac has him up by six, that means he’s really ahead by double digits...
Beto Boy’s adds will make you puke. He’s definitely a Snowflake punk.
You mean to tell me that 46% of Texas voters are dumber than a box of rocks? I don’t believe it!
They meant 60 not 6.
BS no way it’s only 6
Fifty-three percent is a good number, a majority are already lining up with Abbott and that makes it harder to get them reversed.
Thsi[oll result, if even the slightest bit factual, would demonstrate a disastrous state of civic affairs in the great state of Texas...
Maybe allowing all those migrants from CA and New England are nails in the coffin...
