Senator Rick Scott (R-FL) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that “it’s never, ever OK to be a racist” when asked about former President Donald Trump’s comments about former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao.
Anchor Dana Bash said, “I have to ask you about what appears to be a threat by former President Trump against your colleague, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell. Trump said, quote, ‘He has a death wish for supporting Democratic-sponsored bills.’ He also mocked McConnell’s wife and his own former transportation secretary as, quote, ‘China loving wife, Coco Chow.’ You’re a member of Senate GOP leadership. Are you okay with this?”

Not hard to understand. Rick Scott, a “Lindsey Graham Republican” infers that Trump advocates physical violence and is a racist.
That is Scott’s problem.
There was nothing remotely “racist” about his comment nor could anything even remotely be perceived as a “threat” by any rational listener.
So she’s not chinese(taiwanese) after all? Or that isn’t a “race”. Sit down ricky.
Only an idiot like Dana Bash could interpret that statement as a threat.
Chinese isn’t a race.
He’s just not sharp. They ask him a question and he feels like he has to accept the premise and answer or he’ll look dodgy. This is “leadership” in 2022’s America.
What about the Vice Presidents comments about hurricane relief based on race.
Just saying what Mitch told him to say.

Trump’s talking about the McConnell family’s suspicious economic ties to China and how they might be controlled by the Chinese. What the hell is racist about that? Just because his wife is FROM China doesn’t make it racist.
By that logic, any criticism of the Biden family ties to China is also racist.
Scott is such a huge disappointment and embarrassment.
Scott is a phony. He supports Lisa Murkowski. Enough said.
Only a willing semi idiot like Scott would honor her distortion in the slightest, but he did address it in way more complex terms than were cited in header. The main problem in talking to CNN in the first place. there is no NEED or REQUIREMENT to talk to them and validate their questions in the first place.
