I would suspect that Republicans are on average OLDER than the Dem crowd, which is what is probably the difference. In the next few years I would bet that Dem death rates go up significantly, as they are the most vaxxed.
They accounted for that by looking at excess deaths - actual deaths vs. expected for any given age.
I scanned the article for the word “age.” The article claims to be age adjusted. In other words, they are comparing the death rates of like groups. The all-cause death rates among the vaccinated are higher than in the unvaccinated group. That has been discussed at length in the Dark Horse podcast wich mostly features researchers. No-known-cause is the leading cause of death in many Canadian provinces and some states. These include young, healthy people who suddenly keel over from heart arrythmia. There are also the unexplained linear blood clots being found in people who are vaccinated and now dead.
I think most of these deaths would have been avoided if we’d treated the symptoms with medications, we already had available and then let the pandemic run its course. Africa, which was almost totally unvaccinated is reporting few if any new cases. They’ve achieved herd immunity. We can’t achieve it because of the vaccinations forcing the virus to evolve.

Yes, and elsewhere there are reported statistics showing higher death and other issues with people that have received the experimental vaccines and experimental boosters.
