Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was told last year that there was no evidence Border Patrol agents had “whipped” or “strapped” Haitian migrants at the US-Mexico border — hours before he bolstered President Biden’s lies about the incident at a press conference. A Sept. 24, 2021 email to Mayorkas from Marsha Espinosa, assistant secretary of DHS public affairs, highlighted an interview with the photographer who captured agents on horseback trying to corral migrants and block them from entering the US near Del Rio, Texas, according to Fox News.

I really wish we had a small section in the Constitution which stated that any elected official could be removed from office if found to have lied while serving. Mistakes are OK. Mistakes happen. No one expects perfection. But straight-up falsehood, as well as “artful” use of language (”it depends on what the meaning of “is” is”) really ought to be enough to remove a “public servant”.
You are there to serve the People. So tell the truth. The only “good” reason to lie is because you are serving yourself and/or your party, and don’t care about the People.
I saw former acting ICE Director under Trump Tom Homan speak at an event last Saturday. While he didn’t use such words, it’s pretty clear he thinks Mayorkas is a piece of dung.
These agents need to sue Mayorkas and every decision maker involved in their punishment.
Mayorkas needs to be impeached, removed from office and then tried for treason, found guilty and hanged. Mayorkas is a deep agent of Cuba.

At the time of the constitution, one’s good character was the measure of your societal value. Highly regarded and protected at all costs. Men would duel each other to avenge false attacks on their character.
In the Talmud, character assassination is treated as the equivalent of murder. Not Jewish, good law [as many, many are].
Putting a ‘character’ disqualification for politicians in the constitution never would occur to the founders, just as they didn’t enshrine breathing as a constitutional right.
Few possess that character today. PDJT, DeSantis, maybe Gabbard display it. That’s about it.
