Alan Stuart Franken was a congressman who came across on many of his TV appearances as an actor as a completely horrible man. He turned out to be even worse in real life. He got elected to Congress by the method of counting the votes until he won. But at least he didn’t murder someone by drowning them and then pay the parents to stop an autopsy as another Democrat did.

That we allowed that person to stay in the Senate for life afterwards is unconscionable.
