BEIJING, Oct 15 (Reuters) - China's COVID-19 measures are the best, most cost-effective and will continue to improve, a spokesman for the ruling Communist Party said on Saturday.
"We firmly believe that the light is ahead and perseverance is victory," Sun Yeli told a news conference in Beijing ahead of the party's 20th congress.
Sun was responding to a question about whether China risks being isolated from the rest of the world if it continues with its zero-COVID policy.

And if/when there is no more COVID to use, then they will find something else to enable their tyranny and oppression.

They already have complete control, a social credit system, a surveillance police state, and the people living in fear.
They can just weld the doors shut on an apartment building and position soldiers outside and shoot anyone who tries to flee and nobody can do anything about it.
The people live in fear of the state.

I don’t know. I’ve heard people say it’s because they know what the virus is, it came from their labs, but I doubt that is the reason.
Vaccination has worked in the USA.
