Terrible idea. Steen has his chance in the primary and lost. Writing in Steen will split the GOP vote and that district will end up with a democrat.

Might not be a bad tradeoff for a-hole Vos

Last numbers that a saw had the Republicans controlling the WI State Assembly by a wide margin.

Vos is terrible.

I say going with the write-in candidate over Vos is a very good idea.

There’s no Democrat on the ballot. A Democrat also announced a write-in candidacy.

Frankly, Wisconsin would be better off with Vos losing one way or the other. The assembly would get a new Speaker.

The Republicans will still control the legislature.

Agreed. But flipping that seat to democrat might mean the difference between having a veto proof majority and not. Especially if Evers, with the help of the MIlwaukee/Madison vote fraud machine in high gear.

A write in Democrat would only need 34% (in theory) of the vote to win that seat. That district is only about 60% republican. Vos is awful, he has gone native but he is infinitely better than any democrat.

Fair point. The last numbers I saw on the current session showed the Republicans with a 61 out of 99 Assembly seat advantage. So your point is indeed a legitimate concern.

But I wonder, can Evers win reelection in the case where the Republicans win 65 seats without the Vos seat?
