I wonder how much the battery change will cost?

You keep it going by expanding Ky Coal mineS and hiring more Ky Coal miners. BAWAAA !

no mention of providing charging stations
some are kept in a parking lot
will each bus have their own charging station?
might need to upgrade the grid for that
how about the buses that are parked at the bus driver’s home?

Just imagine how much energy it takes to charge batteries.
You might think that the entire top/roof of a huge buss, covered with solar panels outside in the direct sunlight all day would get some energy from the sun for recharging.
But in reality the amount from an approximate 7.5’ x 25’ panel is miniscule.

Less than needed for diesel or NG.

Imagine what we could accomplish with unlimited tax dollars redistributed to our wallets. We wouldn’t even have to do anything.

They use heat exchangers and radiators to heat school buses. How’s that electric bus going to produce enough heat for winters in Minnesota? Oh WAIT. Just need more money...

If I wasn’t lazy today I’d break out my engineering books and do a comparison of an electric bus in winter and a diesel bus in winter. Won’t that be fun being stuck on a stalled battery bus in a South Dakota January.

They both have to be plugged in over night?
