Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) is leading Democratic challenger Stacey Abrams by 7 points in the state’s gubernatorial race, according to a new poll by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and UGA.
The poll, published on Monday, found Kemp ahead with 51 percent of likely Georgia voters saying they’d vote for the Republican if the race were held today — while 44 percent said they’d cast their ballot for Abrams.
The Journal-Constitution report notes that Kemp’s 7-point lead is narrower than the 10-point lead he enjoyed in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Georgia News Collaborative poll released earlier this month.
Another 2 percent said they’d vote for Libertarian candidate Shane Hazel, and 2.5 percent said they were still undecided.
Abrams appears to have gained among Black voters as the midterm elections draw nearer, with her support among that demographic reaching 87 percent.

With all the lies and such out of Ghettopotamus’s extra wide mouth, I am rather dismayed that the race is so close. Not that Kemp is any bargain, but how is Ghettopotamus only 7 points out?
Poor Stacy Abrams. She keeps this up and she’ll be a three time loser like Beto the mayonnaise Mexican.
She really needs to go away. She’s neck and neck with HRC in that department.
Hershel will win because if Kemp is that far ahead, so is he.
This is at the top of my “must wins” along with Beto.
Abrams will run every two years as long as she can.
She’ll lose this time, and we’ll see her again in four years fot the same job. Then she’ll challenge Herschel two years after that.
She simply will not quit....
Imagine how big a win Kemp would have had if not for the democrat party cheating.

I’ve had my share of arguments with libertarians and other fringe party members here on FR over the years. I believe that most of them want to split the vote so that the RAT candidate wins.
I wonder if my deceased mom born and raised in GA has voted yet. Dems will steal the election - this and others on Nov. 8.
