You cannot be a member of the Democrat Party and believe in the Constitution of the United States. “Democrat Party” and “Constitution” are mutually exclusive.
So “Democrat” and “American” cannot exist in the same body today, and likely not for a few decades now.
The last one I can think of was Zell Miller who could be regarded as an American.
In the same way, you cannot be a member of the Democrat Party and be a Christian. You simply can’t.
That is how far to the Left they have gone.

In short Stitt is so bad that this republican that has has not voted for anyone of another party in 46 years will vote against him. Hoffmeister was a republican State Superintendent of schools under Stitt, saw first hand how bad he was and changed parties so she could run against him.

I see my sister-in-law and her husband at church...both devout abortion-loving democrats...and I want to ask them "why bother coming to church? You won't be getting into Heaven.". I don't... because I don't want to damage my marriage with my lovely conservative wife. My wife considers them the "short bus" side of the family, but she doesn't let me get involved with that squabble. But you are right. These murderers are in for a surprise when they finally arrive at the Pearly Gates.

The Overton Window has moved so far to the left that anyone still finding themselves in 2022 in the Democrat Party can be assumed to be an enemy of The Constitution of The United States.
NOTE: There are a huge number of "Liberals" who are in the Democrat Party electorate (not the candidates) which I don't place in that category above, simply because they are not like the full Leftists who believe in anything anti-American, but because they are too busy, too lazy, or unable to view the issues and think for themselves. Many of them are simply trying to live their lives, and don't think any of this really affects them.
These are the people whose kids come home with a BLM sign or one of those "Hate has no home" signs, and when the kid asks if they can put it on the front lawn, the parent looks at it, nods okay, and goes back to what they are doing. These are people who get the COVID vaccination and wear the mask unthinkingly. These are people who have the news networks on television, and blindly accept everything shoveled their way. They don't see a problem with forgiving student loans, spending trillions on climate change BS, and having the government give people money straight up instead of working, support a "basic income for all", and a "living wage" for a minimum wage. They think all health care should be free, etc. etc. etc.
These people present a danger to the Republic because they vote for Leftists, but they themselves aren't evil in the way that 30% of the Democrat Party is. They are mostly ignorant, and view nearly everything to a depth of a nanometer deep, even though the issue might be a mile wide. Scratch that nanometer of depth, and they are out of their depth. But they aren't the ones moving the "Overton Window".
It is being moved by people like Ocasio-Cortez, Schumer, Obama, Biden, Rice, Waters, et al. Those "Liberals" are going along for the ride, and that ride is destroying this country.
Getting back to JC Watts-I don't understand how he can vote for someone with the Leftist views of a candidate running for governor in a state like Oklahoma unless he is beholden to special interests and not a conservative at heart. I honestly cannot remember much about him.
