He’s another RINO from the Bush era. He used to get praised so much 20 years ago.

Yet another black guy that free republic loved and crowed about who turns out to be a disappointment

I can only think of three black conservatives that are consistent Ben Carson Clarence Thomas and Alan West

And Candace Owens it’s a poor track record let’s be honest

Oklahoma I believe is the only state that voted for Trump every single county which is basically because southern white people are the majority in every county so how in the hell can a democrat have a chance in that state anybody here that can explain that

77 counties...all red every election. Always has been, always will be.

Stitt is a great Governor...Watts is a loser.

If she truly has integrity, she has no business being a Democrat- they have no integrity.

I find no record of Watts endorsing Obama. Can you provide a link? I do see that he was “considering” voting for him. I also see him telling Hannity in April of 2008 he would NOT “endorse” him. In light of the monster McCain turned out to be, I would not say there was much of a difference between the two.

The insistence that a person vote for corrupt, reprehensible individuals because the party is sooooo important is how we wind up with loathsome Rinos and corrupt scum who mouth platitudes while lining their own pockets, while they laugh at the conservative rubes who endorse them.

If you doubt me, just look at the mockery of Lee Atwater (Elder Bush’s campaign guy) sneeringly direct Bush to “just throw some bible verses at them.”

I might (and I do!) disagree with JC Watts on a number of issues. I do not doubt his integrity, which is more than I can say for the scum Stitt (r- Oklahoma). If you doubt the man’s corruption, just do a search for GEER funds/ClassWallet and the 16 million dollars the state shelled out on a no bid contract with Foggy Bottom restaurants. These are items that a REPUBLICAN attorney general demanded a criminal investigation.

Gabbard is a Deep State handmaiden? Is that what you’re implying? How do you figure?

Never heard a good reason for why he left politics. Congressmen seldom ever give up the cushy deal.

Rumors I heard was that he was involved in a big corruption scandal, and they let him resign rather than making a big scene about it.

Anyone know the real reason why JC Watts left congress?

Hoffmeister was a republican State Superintendent of schools under Stitt, saw first hand how bad he was and changed parties so she could run against him.

Nevermind "how bad" the Democrat party is.

He said it was because he felt like he was a “token” and one the RINO establishment could point to and say “SEE!!! We have a black guy!” His statement anyway.

I don’t always agree with him, but I have never heard those rumors of corruption. Men are men,and we all are corrupt, so it could be. I am just saying that I never heard of it.

He gives up a sweet gig like being a congressman because he felt like a "token"? Doesn't pass the smell test.

I forget who told me that it was a corruption scandal and that was over a decade ago, but my recollection was he was offered a choice to resign or be prosecuted.

Nobody goes home from congress to manage apartments. It just doesn't make any sense.

It does if you are a true statesman and wanted to serve your country. I don’t blame you for being cynical by the way. True statemen are as rare as unicorns these days.
