I get it, you and your friends vehemently disagree with JP to the point of issuing personal attacks. Jon's merely continuing to point out there are, and will be, no winners in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

While our Southern Border receives only scraps from the table of Longshanks/Biden, Zelenskyy is dining on Wagyu Beef and lobster, courtesy of the taxpayers of the US, 90% of whom cannot locate Ukraine on a map.

There is an unimaginable humanitarian crisis on the horizon, and it will be led by General Winter, a much badder dude than Corn Pop. In the pantheon of World Military History, General Winter has yet to be defeated...just ask Napoleon, for example.

The warring factions need to swallow hard, and march their butts to the negotiating table, and end this debacle. Don't try to tell me there will be a winner here, both sides have already lost in my opinion.

But only one side is trying to steal from the other.

Wrong. Time will tell. My prediction remains that, on this current course, the US will eventually be kicked out of Europe by popular demand for using Ukraine as proxy war launching pad.

So the US has to find a way out to try to save face and then it can continue it’s World Police plundering crusade elsewhere, on a country or countries that can’t defend themselves. You’ll like that.

It’s much more titillating and exciting for you people who live their lives in old black and white war movies.

it's cheaper than letting some thug rampage around the neighborhood stealing things.

Eastern Ukraine isn't our neighborhood. The Texas border is.

The topic was NATO.

Put another way, what's the difference between the White House and Afghanistan? Answer: there are more Americans in Afghanistan than there are in the White House.

O/T, but Thoroughly Modern Milley has been silent since Biden took office, while he was speaking out against Trump when he was in office.

Of course Democrats don’t care about the Ukrainian nation. Dems and the WEF EU can’t wait to reset with Putin and nuke up Iran, get cheap gas to subsidize their climate change fantasies, etc. Democrats and Putin’s Russia partner together because they hate us and want America destroyed.

The topic was NATO.

Which is funded 80% by the US, so the dearth of resources to the Southern Border as opposed to Ukraine should be included in the discussion.

It would be best *for everyone* if Ukrainians oust this US puppet as soon as possible. Overwhelming logic says Europe should mend fences with Russia because the only thing they’re getting out of this crusade is the elimination of natural resource supplies they were getting from them in stable quantities and stable prices via long term contracts.

With the added bonus of not having to fight them, and quite probably losing that fight.

“I get it, you and your friends vehemently disagree with JP to the point of issuing personal attacks.”

Well, if that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black!”

“Jon’s merely continuing to point out there are, and will be, no winners in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.”

Sounds like you’re on a first-name basis with him. If so, and if you’ve been following his comments since earlier this year, you’d readily see he wants to see Ukraine crushed by Russia and dismantled and turned into a Russian province.

“There is an unimaginable humanitarian crisis on the horizon, and it will be led by General Winter, a much badder dude than Corn Pop. In the pantheon of World Military History, General Winter has yet to be defeated...just ask Napoleon, for example.”

The thing about General Winter is he takes no sides. Poorly equipped Russians will suffer his wrath, as well. Napoleon, as Hitler after him, lost because he did not properly prepare logistically for the invasion OR for winter. Both overestimated their abilities and ignored the natural defenses of the Russian landmass. That’s called hubris. And both Napoleon and Hitler had it in spades.

“The warring factions need to swallow hard, and march their butts to the negotiating table, and end this debacle.”

It can end today if Russia simply withdraws from Ukraine as its borders were in 2013.

“Don’t try to tell me there will be a winner here, both sides have already lost in my opinion.”

I disagree. Ukraine wins by not losing.

The "General Winter" bluster is historical ignorance.

The Soviet Union had an advantage in winter because the Germans were completely unused to, and ill-prepared for, the winter on the steppes. They were an invader 1000 miles from home, in hostile territory.

But here, Ukraine is defending its own territory, during winters that their own people have experienced and lived through their entire lives. And the Russians already admitted that more than a million winter uniforms that were supposed to be in storage don't actually exist.

The home field advantage for winter is with Ukraine, not Russia

The US has produced what it has always produced in every conflict since WWII.

A Quagmire.

Won’t do enough to win, will do just enough to ensure more suffering on all sides.

“Strange given its the US/UK that have essentially told ZelenskyyIdiot not to negotiate having already sabotaged a couple ‘peace’ deals already...../s”

_____________________

Not really, there is a lot of info on this on many Telegram channels. Biden administration does NOT want Zelensky to negotiate, they want him to appear willing to negotiate and to stop publicly saying he won’t until Russia returns all lands and pays reparations.

Biden administration having a hell of a time getting it’s allies to continue to provide weaponry and money and Zelensky appearing belligerent about negotiating is making it much harder.

They just need him to APPEAR reasonable so that they can go on blaming Russia and can maintain unified NATO partners.
