Chris Christie: Midterm results show Trump’s political instincts are ‘about him’

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said that the latest results from Tuesday’s midterm elections show that former President Trump’s political instincts are “about” himself and not for his party.

Christie made the remarks during an appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America” after co-anchor George Stephanopoulos asked if he agreed with an assessment about Trump being the biggest loser in the election.

In response, Christie said that the GOP lost races in key battleground states due to the party’s choices of “inferior candidates.” Trump has come under criticism for backing candidates that some Republicans thought could be weak in a general election.

Christie noted that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) shared the same concerns about the Senate candidate choices in the party earlier this summer.

I am no fan of Christie but he has a point. Not a popular opinion around here.

And Pelosi’s political instincts aren’t about her?

And McConnell’s political instincts aren’t about him?

Oh, and I remember when Governor Chris Christie scheduled a US Senate race a month before the general election, so that Democrats wouldn’t come out in overwhelming numbers for the Senate race, and in the process, vote against Chris Christie’s opponents.

Seems to me Chris Christie’s political instincts were about who? Yeah. Chris Christie.

Here’s another box of Twinkies, Chris.

Now, go sit in the corner and wait until somebody cares about your opinion.

Christie is like Liz Cheney, all they do is complain about Trump.

LOL! Kettle calling the pot black.

Look at what Trump accomplished:

Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything
down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery;
Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
No war in Ukraine; NATO paid its way;
China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
US companies were bringing home the jobs due to tax treatment;
Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and
Iran was isolated.

I’m starting to wonder if the GOPe didn’t deliberately screw up this mid-term election all to get back at Trump. They didn’t support the candidates endorsed by Trump just so they can declare, “See it’s Trump’s fault! The voters must abandon him and any of his supporters. Next time, they will know better and return to supporting the Bush republicans”.

You might be surprised:

Yup.

More and more Freepers are now repeating the comments of CNN, Chris Christie, Paul Ryan and all the others.

Seven years of propaganda from the other side would do that. Their mission is accomplished.

There is some of what you suggest at play here. Trump was just as big of a threat to the GOPe as he was to the left.

When you operate from the premise that the GOPe and the left both serve the same globalist master the world makes more sense.

This is hardly news...Trump has always been a self-promoter, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of putting the country first (and taking credit for it!).

Nonsense argument from people who envy Trump, is all this is.

And Trump will win in the end once Joe Biden leaves the country for his trip and we get to Friday night and final vote counts in Arizona.

Kari Lake will be the Jewel In Trump’s Crown.

Blake Masters wins with her to give the GOP 51 Senate seats and the undecided House seats claimed by Associated Press right now will break the Republican way.

Under Trump’s leadership GOP control of the Senate and House will be seen on Friday night IMHO.

They did just that. They think this will stop Trump. This is exactly what Paul Ryan said the other day, by primaries it’ll be clear that Trump can’t win or something to that effect. I also have suspicions about the competition that was put up in Georgia and Florida. That all the elite find this one man so dangerous is the biggest reason I want him in office.

Yeah, really great point. Let’s just go back to electing RINOs that McConnell recommends who will rubber stamp all the commie legislation that comes their way.
