The United States is extending the coronavirus pandemic public health emergency through April, President Joe Biden’s administration confirmed to CNBC on Friday.
The latest extension would be the 12th renewal since government officials first declared a public health emergency in January 2020, with renewals occurring every 90 days.
The decision to extend the emergency comes as public health officials reportedly expect a winter surge of coronavirus cases as individuals gather indoors more often. Officials are also concerned about the spread of omicron subvariants, CNBC reported.

We were in Missoula, Montana last week and stopped at their local food market that is similar to Whole Foods. I had to laugh because the ONLY masks we saw in our entire trip were in that market. Probably 3% of people were wearing them and it was the usual suspects.
I got an email reply from a customer support rep at a health care company a couple days ago. She ended her email with “and stay safe out there.” I wrote back to her and asked “what am I supposed to do to ‘stay safe’”? She was offended I asked and wrote back “sorry about my email,” but wouldn’t answer my question.
“Stay Safe” is another dreadful, meaningless COVID verbal tic that I hate. It’s like that stupid “out of an abundance of caution” phrase that took over for a while.
“Stay safe” is just a reminder that people won’t let this go and get back to normal. It’ll probably be with us as long as these government azzholes keep extending the “emergency.”
This is likely about profits for Big Pharma. They all continue to get legal protections at the cost of citizens that are dying and ailing.
Eff Everybody. Politics is effed beyond all recognition. Everybody sucks.

When government officials are allowed to take away your rights during an emergency, there will always be an emergency. We will not get our freedom back by voting.
Meanwhile, 2020 and 2021 were my two best years ever — because I made a point of ignoring every stupid COVID lockdown, mandate and restriction from the start.
These endless “public health emergencies” work well for me.

The government and the korporations that effected these lockdowns expected the Cognitive Dissonance to hold up; "it's so dangerous that you have to follow all these totalitarian rules but these other things are perfectly safe."
We learn of Science during the Dark Ages and here we are again. Science in the Post-Modern Age died the moment Herr Fauxi claimed, "I am The Science" and NO ONE in the scientific community said a damn thing.
The trust is absolutely broken between citizen and government, citizen and korporation, patient and medical staff, as well as employee and employer. It's going to take serious efforts over multiple generations to restore even a semblance of it.
This is like a bad heroin addiction to these communist RAT azzholes. They just can’t “give it up”.
Seven weeks into autumn, new Covid cases are running at about 25% of the level in August, and about 65% of the August death level. And both of those levels were only a small fraction of the numbers during the worst months of the pandemic. There is no justification for an ongoing state of emergency. The government wants to extend the crisis through another winter to continue to punish as many vaccine-resisters as possible.
I don’t care what they want. I do not comply with orders. Come and get me one worlders.
