Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Donald Trump’s highly touted and anticipated announcement Tuesday evening that he will run for president again in 2024 won’t have any bearing on his own thinking about a potential bid.
Pompeo, who was also CIA director during the Trump administration, said he has yet to make a decision, “but what happens today or tomorrow, what some other person decides, won’t have any impact on that.”
Pompeo said he thinks Trump, 76, will have to “explain why he thinks he should be that next president” to the American people, saying he hopes the 45th president will talk about “things that can work for them going forward.”
While he said he was “proud of the policies we laid out” in the administration, Pompeo, 58, also took a shot at his former boss during the interview on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show Tuesday.

A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows that 47 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say they would back Trump if the Republican presidential primary were held today. By comparison, 33 percent said they would back Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. No other prospective candidate received above 5 percent in the poll, save former Vice President Mike Pence, who stood exactly at that figure.
Pompeo didn't even make 5% evidently
Pompeo’s hat has been in the ring for some time. He has ZERO chance as does Pence and Haley who have all been omnipresent on television.

Running for president is a cash grab for most. What are the laws for the money you collect but don’t spend for election? Can you keep it?

At this point, I am seriously doubting that we will ever have another election again. I have absolutely no trust or faith in our so-called electoral system. None at all.
I knew in my heart (and gut) that when the Election Theft of 2020 was allowed to stand, unanswered, that the 2022 Election would be worse. And it has been.
And there will be NO ACCOUNTABILITY, yet again.

If that’s the case, why focus on him 24/7?
Let him alone, let him run and lose.
