The left realized long ago that the path to power lay in them taking control of the educational system and social media. Between the two the left controls about 98% of all the information that a child is exposed to on a daily basis. A parent's input, even the most conservative parent, can't counteract the leftist messaging they're getting bombarded with all day at school and at home on social media.

Did anyone bother to read the actual poll results? First, Republicans are way undersampled at 516 respondents vs 789 Dems and 800 Independents. Thus any aggregate result will skew away from Conservatives.

Further, on the question "My rights are under attack in America today" 62% of Democrats AND 62% of Republicans answered YES; Independents answered YES 55% of the time. That's what gives us the aggregate 59%. The respective percentages for the concern for the rights of others are 81%, 69%, and 61%.

Thus, we have a tale of two or three cities.... but Praeger et al slime the lot. That's a great strategy - stereotyping. It's bad when the left calls us racists, but I guess it's ok when and old guy bashes the kidz in toto. Whoever dreamt up the strategy of "hey, let's keep calling anyone under 35 stupid - and then they'll start voting for Deplorables" is an idiot.

Continued sober analysis cheers one up. The Biden disapproval rating of 58% was in part driven by a whopping 94% disapproval rating from the Republican youths. In fact, if you look at the results by political affiliation the Republican youths are getting it right.

Every generation starts out idealistic and stupid. Then they grow up. The Boomers were drugged out hippies, GenX were depressed grungers, and so on...yet they elected Trump. The same is happening to Millenials as they age. But we geezers would rather blame youths for being youths, as we forget our youthful stupidity, say "but it's DIFFERENT today" as we listen to The Last Waltz on our Walkman.

Further, if you let the MSM think for you, as they interview GenZers who live in NYC and LA or D.C. (i.e. Where the MSM live) of COURSE you'll get a biased sample of pod-eating snowflakes. It's by design...they WANT you to have no hope.

It's time for the adults to be adults. Stop letting that the MSM and TikTok think for you. Across Scouts, coworkers, and friends, I find most youths to be pretty sharp. They know Joe is a loser, they own guns, they see the scamdemic for what it was, and they work hard. Sure, there are leftist people under 30 who think we have 12.45 years to fix climate change: they get put on MSNBC while the conservative kids work two jobs and listen to podcasts and stay out of the fray.

I don't know why Praeger wrote such an emotional, void-of-fact piece. Maybe he's got Post-election blues, and trying to blame someone for the lack of a Red Wave. Dude, we got the House, the RNC wasn't pushing hard, we were coming from a high baseline, the Dems lose Committee assignments, and we will have gridlock for 2 years. And it's not the kids fault. Take a Midol, put on a manpon, and look at actual data - they tell a different story, Dennis.

I agree with almost everything you stated.

Except, IQ’s are really dropping. That is real. You have been lucky enough to be around the kids that have been selected out by motivation and different parents/life experience.

I don’t think this time is like the past. Critical thinking skill have evaporated in the new generation, they don’t solve problems they expect someone to do it for them.

They may be upset with Biden, but they have NOT learned that the lies that got them to accept Biden in the place. They don’t understand that ‘loan forgiveness’ ‘pot for everyone’ ‘free healthcare’ is old fashioned vote buying that makes everyone worse off. Older generations figured it out, I don’t know about the new ones.

I see no measurable increase or decrease in critical thinking, intelligence, or awareness that free stuff isn't free. The only improvement, is in presentation (which is really due to computers).

I'm not saying today's idiotic youths are better or worse than prior generations' idiots. They're different..but that's nothing new. The hippies and grungers were different, but their cries of "ban the bomb" and "divest" were equally misguided, and precursors to "12.73 years left." Similarly, today's pod-eaters' demands for bespoke pronouns is simply the demon-spawn of hyphenated surnames and ridiculous first names.

Where I DO see deterioration, is in how the GenZers and Millenials regard authority IN GENERAL. Prior generations disregarded authority, challenged authority, and mocked authority. Today's youths OBEY AUTHORITY. Their unquestioning loyalty to the CDC, Fauci. Global warming peddlers, and the like is breathtaking. I sort of WANT the kids to mock the elders. The way how many in this generation masked and vaxxed up, was troubling.

Again, painting with broad brush strokes covers up the strengths of young Deplorables. Thankfully, the youths with whom I have contact, who generally lean right, as also aghast at their pod-eating brethren. I have hope.
