“”The CIA knew far more about the lone gunman than then they are admitting even today.”

What lone gunman would that be?

Oswald was a lone gunman in the same sense that Epstein killed himself.

Ah ... but that was the CIA of 1963 as investigated by the Supreme Court Chief Justice and the FBI of 1963.

Everything is much more on the up-and-up now, and today’s officials and bureaucrats would never lie.

Newsweak should have been able to uncover and publish this report by April 1964.

Oswald was exactly what he said he was, The Patsy.

“Attorneys for the Mary Ferrell Foundation argued that the agencies have illegally stalled the release of more than 16,000 additional documents related to the case over concerns they could potentially compromise the names of individuals and the methods used in intelligence-gathering activities more than a half-century ago.”

I seriously doubt that 60 year old intelligence is still pertinent. Most everyone involved is either very old or dead.

I assume my math is correct, this was almost *60* years ago now. And Bush Sr. is dead, so why NOT release all the info?

What “methods and practices” were they doing 60 years ago that aren’t already known TODAY?

A lot of RATS didn’t like JFK. Something to do with that, “...ask what YOU can do for your country.” thingy.

I’ve been to the fifth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. I’m a decent shot, high school rifle team and a town league but Oswald had been a marine so odds on he was a way better marksman that I am, I stood next to the window where Oswald shot. I’m pretty sure I could have made two out of the three shots he made.

I don’t know if others were involved but there’s nothing superhuman about the marksmanship.

I hope they release something that makes more sense than a lot of the conspiracy garbage that certain folks here are peddling.

Makes the pootie-bots seem rational.

"...If true, the newly released documents appear to contradict the government's claims that it had no knowledge of Oswald prior to the killing,...

Any claim that they weren't watching a former Marine who had defected to the USSR, then come back to America, doesn't pass the smell test. But just because something smells rotten in Dallas doesn't lead to the conclusion that the spooks were backing Oswald.

A good read regarding this is “A Texan looks at Lyndon” by J. Everett Haley! Also good reading is about the USS Liberty and how Johnson basically set up the attack on the Navy he commanded.

I believe it was the Secret Service agent trailing Kennedy’s vehicle that accidentally fired the fatal head shot with his AR-15.

The VERY interesting book depository museum told me what I believe now. I was standing close to the famous window when some older men started whispering. They knew Guns, kind of shook their heads and said ‘no way’. Plus I listen to Coast to Coast and just don’t buy the loan nut crap. BTW....where WAS Geo HW Bush that day?????

Fifty-nine years to scrub/fix/fabricate the documents, probably a record.

But, in all fairness, back then they didn’t have the computer capabilities we have now . . .
