Says he bought the gun locally, meaning a GA resident bought the gun in FL. If he had the gun shipped back to an FFL in GA it would be ok, but not sure it’s legal to just pick an AR15 up in FL and walk out the door with it without valid FL ID.

Nope. Article said he brought the AR-15 with him from GA. Bought ammo and mags in FL.

I wondered why he didn’t use his money for all that to get himself upgraded lodging or an actual place to rent but it appeared that he did a BYOF (bring your own firearm) and maybe just had enough to buy ammo.
