I only had to do it once, for work, back in the early days.
After that I told them not so politely to F off.

I always thought that was entirely intentional and completely unnecessary.
I never had one, but a friend and my husband each did recently for surgery and the swab was anterior nostril only.
Some institutions, such as UW-Madison were using saliva tests in 2021.
I have personal reservations about all the swabs, but the sinus swabs were actually physically risky, especially in the hands of hurriedly-trained non-EENT professionals. The end point is an area of endangerment, as it reaches a thin bone plate with openings for nerves that is between the sinus & the brain.

I have a good grasp of musculoskeletal anatomy and a lay interest in internal anatomy. I kept visualizing the path of that swab and I would shudder. Then, I watched a couple videos of them being applied and I watched Trump describe his and not only that: people were having this done multiple times in very short timeframes.
The prescribed pathway is asking for some sort of pathogen to be inadvertently introduced into the brain.
To this day, I cannot help but believe it was intentional. I feel the same about an injection that programs human cells to produce a foreign protein that was also part of a virus. My first question was concerning auto-immune responses. Every medical professional I asked took on that deer-in-the-headlights stare.
Recently, I asked why, if immuno-compromized people cannot mount an immune response, why are they prioritized for a procedure designed to elicit an immune response? A flush of short-lived, very specific antibodies will not suffice.
I was chuckled at.
Luckily, I’m old and have done a lot of traveling, eaten at a lot of great restaurants, and am way past my concert-going days. I do expect another run at the vaccine passport tyranny and some attempt at a Social Credit System and the CBDC.
I pray humanity en masse will stop this. If not, I will exit this phase of life without ever acquiescing to living under that sort-—or any sort—of jackboot.
But I do worry about the interim. I fear it’s going to get quite grim.
I take heart in the many younger folk who now feel the same.

I just declined a doctor visit today. Reason. 20 pages of legalese they wanted me to sign. Since I wouldn’t they refused me treatment.
Non-emergency so I guess they can do that.
Nobody that read all the ‘fine print’ would in their right mind sign it. Documents that say “No changes or handwritten entries are allowed.
Allows my medical info to be given to the feds so as to “protection services for the President and Others” No limit to what that allows them to do.
Permission to use my medical records for their marketing ...
