Oppenheimer’s brother was an identified CPUSA member as I recall. So we’re others surrounding him over the years.

Should be a lot of additional information in books by top government intelligence personnel including Herbert Romerstein (and co-authors in some of his books), historians including John Haynes, Harvey Khlers, their once Soviet citizen historians co-authors and probably some people from the British MI6, or even the Israeli Mossad.

The other big US security risk in the nuclear weapons/programs was Harold Urey, who may have protected Soviet spies, as well as US Communists who worked in th e nuclear programs. This has still not been thoroughly investigated, believe me!

Remember, the Democrats and their leftist allies in Congress and in State/Local Governments ordered police intelligence files destroyed in the 1970s in alliance with hardcore leftist Sen. Frank Church (D- Id?), leader of the infamous Church Committee which did a tremendous amount of deliberate damage to out internal security capabilities.

This also included Military Intelligence files, a major source of information on communists and their operations in the US and abroad.

Just ask yourself who gained the most from the destruction of these specific types of files, and why did the Democrats take the political leader in doing it. If you look at the background of some of them, Rep. Abzug (D-NY and reportedly an underground member of the CPUSA), Rep. John Conyers Jr., (D-Mich, also a top CPUSA affiliate, along with Rep. George Crockett Jr, D-Mich), Sen. Alan Cranston (D-CA, Office of War Information), and others, you will begin to understand
What has been going on since the 1930s and has been covered up since then.

Frank Church was an intel officer in WWII. He was a national hero in reigning in the utter lawlessness of the FBI and CIA. They overcame it, but he tried to return them to being under control.

History must be rewritten because the International Communists were the “Good Guys.”

What you said bears repeating...

I would only add the names of FDR's cabinet, a cabal of fellow travelers...
Spent many an hour, before & during WWII, listening to both my grandfathers endlessly bitching about the communists and communist supporters surrounding FDR...
Particularly when FDR imposed direct theft of American wages in the form of a "Temporary Deduction of Taxes From Paychecks"... Yikes! The camel's nose, neck, head, and chest were in the tent...

Yes, there was Oppenheimer’s brother, his wife, his wife’s friend Steve Nelson, his ex-girlfriend Jean Tatlock. . .This was brought up during his security clearance hearing, along with evidence Oppenheimer had hired Communists to work at Los Alamos, had changed his story over time about being approached by Haakon Chevalier to spy for the Soviets, had worked to suspend the American H-bomb program. . .I’m only scratching the surface, but his security clearance was revoked after careful consideration with good reason. People who had previously supported him went to bat for him, including Eisenhower, and came away from a review of the evidence convinced he was a security risk. Granholm is perpetuating a cover-up of the extent of Soviet infiltration of the U.S. government prior to the Cold War and continuing into the time of Oppenheimer’s security review and beyond. Part of the backstory of his security review was that military intelligence had information that the Soviets had an espionage ring tied to some of the leading architects of U.S. foreign and nuclear policy, including Dean Acheson and John McCloy, both of whom were involved in Oppenheimer’s review behind the scenes and tried to pull strings to influence the outcome.

Yes, Urey was another one. There were many others who need to be looked into. Off the top of my head: Leo Szilard, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Linus Pauling, Bertrand Russell who was not a scientist but recruited scientists for antiwar groups linked to the Soviets. . .One important connection here involves collaboration between Russell, Einstein’s estate executor Otto Nathan, and Einstein’s translator Heinz Norden, who chaired an antiwar group Bill Clinton was active with in Britain when he went to visit Moscow (while his roommate Strobe Talbott was in contact with KGB recruiter Louis Jordan).

Also of interest is the activity of Marcus Raskin, father Jamie Raskin, at the Institute for Policy Studies, which maintains current ties to Biden.
