Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said Monday on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that former President Donald Trump was already “constitutionally disqualified from holding office, having participated in insurrection.”
Raskin said, “The historians and political scientists we have spoken to have been very clear about this. The surest sign of a successful coup coming is a recently failed coup where the coup plotters and insurrectionists got to diagram the weaknesses in the existing structure. And so if there’s impunity, if they think they can operate with impunity and under the cover of darkness, then they are undoubtedly going to come back again. So I think that everything we know about what’s taken place around the world with coups and what’s taken place historically tells us that there must be consequences, and not just for the hundreds of foot soldiers who are already facing the music and many of whom have already been convicted or pled guilty, but also for people all the way at the top, the masterminds and the ringleaders.”

No one involved in the events of January 6 has been charged with insurrection. If there was an insurrection, why hasn’t anyone been charged? Words have meanings, and in this case, real-life legal ramifications. You don’t just sling that kind of accusation unless you have the evidence to back it up. Otherwise, you have what a late friend of mine went through after World War II. He was an Albanian Communist guerilla. Enver Hoxha had been his schoolteacher. My friend was in charge of holding trials for those accused of collaboration with the Italians and the Germans (fascists). He endeavored to have fair trials and found a number of people not guilty. Those weren’t the results the Communists were looking for. They claimed that all of the accused were guilty of fascism, and they accused my friend of being a fascist too. They didn’t get to try him because he escaped to Greece.

What specific due process was carried out specifically to convict Trump of giving aid or comfort to the enemies thereof? It wasn’t the fake Jan 6 witch hunt committee.
The closest process might have been the 2nd impeachment to remove a POTUS who was no longer in office when it made it to the Senate. Yet I do not recall those specific words being highlighted in the charges against him.
Raskin is spinning another demonkkrap lie and conspiracy theory because of their visceral hatred, ... visceral fear ... of Trump’s voters. Raskin and his party of liars failed in their illegal Russia hoax obstruction and attempt to remove Trump. I am done chasing their lies dressed in rabbit skin around the track.
I would imagine that they never stopped spying on him. He has to assume that.
